So sorry to hear so many of our coworkers are ill. Our pianist has been very sick for several weeks. Senior Regent Ethel Bruce showed the chapter the picture of our Sunshine Boy from Mooseheart. We will try to have one placed on the bulletin board at the Moose home. Reports due at the next meeting are as follows; Publicity, Shirley Ozog; Mooseheart, Frieda LaCerba; college of regents, Mabel Thomas; child care, Margaret O'Kane; and homemaking, Mary Jane Heitz. If possible, we hope to contact every member about the mid-winter conference which will be held here at the McHenry Moose home on Sunday, Jan. :28. We are going to need lots of workers and will also ask for donations of food. If you are unable to help by preparing some of the food for that day, we will accept cash donations to help with the expenses. This will be another first for the McHenry Moose. Let's all try to make it one of the best. Sorry to say our chairman for the evening, Margaret O'Kane, was unable to attend the meeting, but sent some good tasting food for us. This is the time of year for another audit, so check your dues receipts and make sure that you are a member in good standing. Also time to pay your Academy of Friendship dues. The Loyal Order of the Moose has held many parties, among them the Christmas party on Dec. 23. A very good time was had by all members of the Moose and their wives who attende<| this party. The men really went all-out to make sure everyone had a good time. Another feather in the cap of the men in the party line was the New Year's Eve party. Governor Ed Ozog was the perfect host, with Hank Kozubal attending to many things and being the best of help. Hank's wife, Olga, cooked some tasty meat balls, plus preparing all the rest of the food. Diets for everyone after that. A happy, wonderful time was had by all. The Santa Fe Trail was our first transcontinental highway --from Independence, Mo. to New Mexico, at least. It was unpaved, unmarked, often varying course from year to year, but served many thousands of adventure seekers. HERE IT I Our Annual Jan.
