Her husband, William Day Gates, preceded her in death. She leaves two sisters, Mrs. Annabelle Holliday and Miss Mae Fallon of Crystal Lake; and a brother, Edward B. Fallon. of Evanston. Services were held Tuesday in the Querhammer funeral home in Crystal Lake, with interment in Crystal Lake Memorial Park. ENGVALD GRANATH Last rites were conducted Monday for Engvald Granath, 68, of Chicago, brother of Mrs. William McCabe of Pistakee Bay, who died March 22. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery. SCHOLARSHIP CLUB ELECTS FIRST OFFICERS The newly• f organized scholarship club at the Junior high school which is open to seventh and eighth grade students who hold an "A" average met recently with about twenty-eight youngsters in attendance. The club is sponsored by the McHenry Community P.T.A. Susan Bockman served as organizational chairman, with assistance from James Doran. Glen Olsen was elected president, with Lynn Krebs as vice-president and Ginny Grek in the capacity of secretary.
