The P.T.A. is running a "Fun Fair" which should prove most enjoyable to everyone. Sandwiches, desserts, pop and coffee will be served throughout the fair time which Is scheduled to start at 4 in the afternoon and run through about 9 or 9:30 in the evening. Such things as the bake sale, the country store, "peep show", Qtost room, beauty salon, along with many different games will interest one and all. Come on and bring the family and spend an enjoyable afternoon. Sodality to Meet / The next regular meetmg of the Blessed Virgin SoaMitywill be held Tuesday evening, April 10 in the school hall. Members of this sodality are * cordially invited to participate at this meeting. ! Last Call for Little Leaguers ; Final registration for the :<7ohnsburg boys league is set for April 15. Applications are to be filled out and_turned in jDot later than the -"April 15 date. Slips may be turned into Smith's garage or to Ralph tj^hnston on or before this deadline. Florida Bound Earl and Alice Ross of Sunnyside Beach departed from here last week headed in the direction of Florida. They will spend a restful three weeks there soaking up lots of sunshine. Television Celebrities Several of our residents were in Chicago last Wednesday where their kiddies participated in a noon time children's TV program. Much to the young peoples delight they were able to converse with their favorite clown, Bozo. Relatives and friends watched the monitors to catch a glimpse of Rocky Palmer, Mary Low and John Johnston and the Huemann kiddies. Present in the studio audience were: Tom and Darlene Huemann, Vera Huemann.^- Wanda Palmer, Madeline Johnston^ind Betty Christensen. Foresters Nebct Sunday^ April 8, the lady/and girf Foresters of St. "Agatha's court No. 777 will meet in St. John's school prior to the 8:30 Mass. They will go into church in a body where the entire group will also receive communion. Breakfast will follow in the community club hall. A small charge will be collected to defray the food expense. Anyone wishing to donate towards the breakfast as has been done in the past, may do so by contacting the officers. Attending the eighth annual conference of the W.C.O.F. Diocesan Association at St. Joseph's parish in Elgin last Sunday were: Marie Oeffling, Catherine Dehn, Agnes K. Freund, Mary Hiller, Virginia Pitzen, Marilyn Smith, Lois Schmitt, Janet Weingart, Judy Brennan and Cathy Mjchels. All reservations for the Forester banquet to be held at Hettermann's on April 24, must be in to Virginia Pitzen no later than Saturday. April 21. Rehearsal for newly elected officers will be held in the community club hall at 6.45 p.m. on April 23. Committee for this evening will be Laura Schmitt, Dorothy Adams, Mae May, Olivia Hiller, Nancy Weber and Barbara Althoff. Troop 195 News Kathy Barth reports at their last meeting a uniform inspection was conducted by Mrs. Dehn. This Is one phase in their good grooming badge requirements^ The troop also worked on their underwater scene for the fair. Octupuses with braided arms and legs is their project. This meeting was held once again at the Wolczynski home. Judy Strogil was cookie hostess at this time. The song "Goodnight, Girl Scouts" was sung at the meetings close. The girls are also taking advantage of the spring weather by looking at the result of their bulb planting last fall. As a group they planted tulip bulbs alongside of their leader, Mrs. Barth's home. All the bulbs seem 10 be peeping through the ground so the sjirls are quite anxious to see them in bloom. Juvenile Banquet Reminder Once again a reminder of the juvenile girl Forester banquet Unmoor COMPLAINTS RECEIVED ABOUT VEHICLE STICKERS David Heckmamt - EV 5-0582 There have been a few complaints by people of the village that the vehicle stickers have peeled or would not stick to the windshields of their cars when they applied them. If the vehicle sticker you have applied to the windshield of your car is not readable by number or village name, contact the village clerk at 385-1117 or Chief of Police Herbert Brossand installation coming up on April 15. All members please keep this date in mind. Full details will appear next week. Page Twenty-Three man at 385-2141. If another vehicle sticker is necessary, there will be no charge by the village clerk. ^ However, we would like to see the car that the vehicle sticker has been affixed to so that we can determine what caused this peeling or non-sticking. Village Meeting A reminder that the next regular village meeting will be Thursday, April 12, at the firecommunity house, 8 p.m. All residents are invited to attend the meetings. Now that the weather is turning warm and more residents are beginning to fix their property, please remember to obtain permits for building, electrical work and septic work before proceeding with the actual construction or the jobs will be halted. Sue Prawl, honored queen, presided. Plans were made concerning the official visit next meeting and the dance which is to be held at the American Legion home on Friday, April 13.
