(Twelfth District) Congressional District 12 is comprised of Boone, McHenry and Lake counties znA is a newly created district as a resuit of reapportionment on the basis of the decennial federal c e n s u s . One r e p r e s e n t a t i ve from this area is elected every even-numbered year to sit in the Lower House, the House of Representatives, in Washington to either initiate legislation or approve legislation init i a t e d and passed in the U. S. Senate. The annual salary for this office is $22,500 plus an allowance for office supplies, postage and mileage. Representatives serve for a term of two years, and are eligible for re-election. REPUBLICAN ROBERT McCLORY -- Robert McClory is a resident of Lake Bluff, 111., is 54 years old, has a wife, Audrey, and three children. He was active in the Republican party as early as 1936. He is a lawyer with 12 years experience in the I l l i n o i s l e g i s l a t u r e , h a v i n g served as state representative, 1950-52, state senator, 1952 to date. He is now seeking the nomination for United States Congress. ROBERT COULSON -- Robert Coulson lives in Waukegan, 111., where he served two terms as mayor. He is 49 years old, and he and his wife, Rose, have three children. He is a writer, lawyer and teacher, and has served 3 terms as a state representative. He was assistant state's attorney for 4 years. WILLIAM M. CARROLL -- William M. Carroll, Jr., is 40 years old and lives in Woodstock with his wife. Anne, and their five children. He has been a practicing attorney for 14 years and is a past president of the McHenry County Bar association and a former corporation counsel for the city of Woodstock. ADELINE GEO-KABI8 LAMBR06 -- Adeline Geo-Karis Lambros, 43 years old, lives with her husband, Louis, in Zion, 111. She has been a practicing attorney for 19 years and has served as assistant state's attorney in Lake County. She has been justice of the peace for 12 years. She is a Lt. Comdr., in the U. S. Navy Reserve. JAMES M. WETZEL -- James M. Wetzel, lives in Deerfield, 111., with his wife, Shirley, and three children. He has been active in the Republican party as precinct committeeman, and president of Young Republicans. Mr. Wetzel is 37 years old. He is a patent attorney and an engineer. He has been active in various other civic organizations. RICK HASKINS -- Ride Haskins is 49 years of age, lives in Lake Bluff, 111., with his wife, Ann, and six children. He is a graduate of U. S. Naval Academy of Annapolis and a Rear Admiral, USN, (retired). His experience, in Washington includes budget and committee work with Congress and foreign government negotiations. GEORGE H. FRANCIS -- George H. Francis, a resident of Grayslake, 111., is 34 years old, has a wife, Carole, and three children. He is vice-president of the Libertyville Federal Savings and Loan association. He majored in political and social science and economics at Illinois Institute of Technology, and has been active in Anti Communist organizations. DEMOCRAT JOHN ( LARK KIMBALL -- John Clark Kimball lives in Deerfield. 111., with his wife, Rosemary, and three children. He has had extensive experience as a writer and newspaperman, worked for the U. S. Department of State and has been a corporate public relations counsel. He has been active in the Democratic Party in various capacities. JOSEPH B. COLEMAN -- Joseph B. Coleman is 49 years of age and lives in Algonquin, 111. He has been a practicing attorney for 14 years. He has worked for the federal government in a legal capacity for three years (1956-1959). He has. been active in the Democratic Party for many years, especially in the 1960 Presidential Campaign. educated in the local schools and the University of Illinois. He has Jong been active, in the Republican party, having been; a precinct committeeman, on the McHenry County Board of Supervisors, and is now serving his fifth term as a Republican; representative in the Illinois legislature; he seeks re-election. LESTER E. CUNNINGHAM -- Lester E. Cunningham' lives in Belvidere, HI., where he is finishing his tfaiitssaath year as mayor (4 terms). He is 48 years old, and he and bis wife, Hazel, have two SOBS. He has been vice-president of the Municipal League for 11 years and serves on their legislative committee. He was employed by the State of Illinois as a supervisor in the revenue department prior to being mayor. PAUL F. JOKES -- Paul F. Jones, mayor of Rochelle, is 49 years of age, has a wife, Ruth, a son and daughter. He attended Roc helle schools and Iowa State university. He is a foamer farmer, and at present is a real estate broker. He has been a StegaMican precinct committe^siasi for 18 years and is chairman of the Ogle County Reptrtilton central committee. FRED REIMAN -- Henry-Union drainage district, McHenry County Co-op, and McHenry County Health Improvement association. JOHN V. NINK -- Jwim V. Niiik, 44 years of age, lives in Rochelle, 111., with his wife, Charlotte, and 4 boys, and he is owner of Nick's Family Shoe Store in Rochelle. Kays lives in Marengo. 111., he and his wife, Gladys, have two children; he is 62 years old. He has 14 years experience as alderman and 4 years as mayor in Marengo; 12 years as bailiff in circuit and county court, 4 years as county treasurer. For the past 4 years he has been county clerk; he seeks re-election. FOR REPRESENTATIVE IN GENERAL ASSEMBLY (Thirty-Second District) McHenry, Boone, Ogle and DeKalb counties comprise the 32nd representative district. In the state of Illinois, each representative district elects three representatives, one of which must by agreement represent the minority party. The entire body is elected every evennumbered year atthe November election. These representatives, elected for two-year terms, sit in the Lower House of the General Assembly of the state of Illinois and they receive $12,000 for each biennmm and an allowance of $50 for stationery, postage, plus extra milage. In the primary (April 10) election, in connection with the office of representative in the General Assembly only, cumulative voting is permitted; that is, on the Republican ballot, you may vote for two candidates, which gives each lVz votes' or for one candidate, which gives him three votes; on the Democratic ballot, you may vote for just one candidate, which gives that person three votes. Herendeen is a lifetime resident of Crystal Lake. He is 48 years old, married with three children. He attended local schools and Morgan Park Military academy. He was in the service for four years, was a captain of the local police force, served as chief deputy sheriff for four years and was sheriff of McHenry from 1954 to 1958. He is now county treasurer. REPUBLICAN A. B. McCONNELL -- A. B. McConnell, 450 years of age, legislator, realtor, and farmer, lives in Woodstock, 111. He and his wife, Alice, have two sons and daughters, all married, and thirteen grandchildren. Mr. McConnell was DEMOCRAT FERNE CARTER PIERCE -- Feme Carter Pierce, farmer, housewife, mother and legislator, is 41 years of age and lives on a farm in Malta, 111., with her husband, Tim, and thisse children. She attended Mills college for women in Oakland California, majoring in poHti cal science. Pearson, 41 years of age, lives near Barreville and is unmarried. He is a farmer, businessman, and McHenry county supervisor from Nunda township. Cooney resides in Woodstock, 111., is 42 years of age, has a wife, Karlen, and three children- He has 11 years experience in the practice of law;, "7 years public administration as mayor of Woodstock, FOR COUNTY WSMIJRER This official is custodian of county funds, bills when authorized by the Board of Supervisors, serves as tax collector. Every 2 years he submits to the Board an audit of all county funds, and is responsible to the state for state money used by the eotinty. Peteit is married and resides in Woodstock, 111. He has had 4 years experience as depuiy county treasurer and 4 years as county treasurer. He has been city auditor of Wood stock for 12 years; worked in the state treasurer's office € years. WESLEY PRIBLA -- Wesley Pribla lives in Woodstock with his wife, Lorraine, and three children. He is 45 years old and has had 25 years experience in the retail business. He has had 23 years experience as police officer in Chicago and years as chief of police in Fox River Grove. DEMOCRAT THOMAS J. FOR COUNTY CLERK This important administrative office is the keeper of the seal of the county, and among his many duties he (1) records deaths and births; (2) issues marriage licenses; (3) lists real estate to foe assessed in the county and prepares the tax books for the assessors; (4) acts as clerk of the county court and county board.
