Locally, the bond issue for the swimming pool "went down the drain" 95-31. Tennis coux ts received the same treatment by 95-30-1 spoiled. Extending the high school year was defeated 77-49 and same for the grade school, 67-51. H. S. board candidates received as follows: Stilling, 79; Marks, 43; and Beckenbaugh, 81. Grade school candidates went this way-- Wittrock, 61; Haug, 61; Tonyan, 48; and Davis, 32. Ballots were tabulated by Emma Pyritz, Eleanor Creutz and Elma Nelson. They I toured the devastated areas later but were very happy not to have gained first hand experience! The three and one-half months they spent in the south this winter brought Ed back to good health once more. All his medical problems were relieved. They had a marvelous time but are happy to be home to greet the spring here.. | Family Reunion for | Confirmation Some fancy finnagling on the part of her chums and mom, resulted in a' divine surprise party for Diane Bjork on Sunday when she turned 15 on the fifteenth. Thinking she would be serving cakc and ice cream at her home, mother Bernice and daughters drove to Island Lake to pick up Gaye Vinsik.
