Dogs Again I have been receiving gripes from residents that neighbors dogs are loose again damaging evergreens and lawns, chasing youngsters and just plain bothering. All I can say is forget that they live on your street, that they are your neighbors, that you have to live with them. Neighbors like that who are so inconsiderate of others should be reported and they should be made to keep their dogs on their own property or pay a fine if they don't do so. I may sound bitter on the dog problem but if you don't start the action yourself by calling Ed Jelinek at his EVergreen or FEderal number your neighbor isn't going to keep his dog from running. After so many years of watching dogs moss up yards, jump on small children (my yard and kids included) all I can tell you is forget "love thy neighbor" (in the dog situation anyway) and get after them. If you don't, who will?? birthdays Happy birthday to Ernie Jones on April 18. What a pity, try again. I'd Like you to Meet This week we are visiting on the corner at 5506 Lucina Drive at the home of Walter and Helen Messell. They have been residents here for five years. Walt was born in Chicago and Helen in Mishawaka, Ind. They met when Walt's sister married Helen's brother. Helen was only 10 at the time, but the second time they met Helen was sill grown up and they were married. They have four children: Robert is 21 and overseas with the Marines, Walter, Jr., 19, in the Navy stationed in Florida, James, 17, a student at McHenry high and Judy, 12, and attends St. John's school.
