Others will be interviewed and a choice made by the committee. Unwanted trees -- a total of fourteen -- have been in the process of removal this past week. The board will meet again on Monday, May 13, at 8 p.m. in the beachhouse. The public is invited. and Pa Olsen, Mrs. Marge Tichy . of Broadview, caused a good deal of excitement and worry last Friday morning. As she prepared to alight from our shopping car,, she struck her knee on the door handle. Her mother Sally Olsen, Elma Nelson and I were ready to enter a store for shopping. As Marge stopped by the back door of the vehicle, shock must have set in and she fainted dead away. As she fell, she struck her "head on the blacktop paving. Mrs. Nelson ran to the store for help and returned with George Mrachek (who drives an ambulance, plus his store dut ies) Who administered first aid. \ Mrs. Tichy regained consciousness shortly and was able to continue shopping with us. The injury to her knee proved secondary to the aches and pains she sustained from her fall. Sure hope there are no repercussions from this accident. Mel Tichy arrived on Saturday to transport his wife and two lads, Jimmy and Bobby, back to the safety of the city. He was given a full s*t of details nnd promised to watch over her. Natal "Daze" Best wishes to Barbie Nye as she turns 7 on May 5 and ditto to Sandy Brennan who will be a lovely young lady of 15 on that date . . . IT PAYS TO ADVERTISE Tillers and Toilers Giving their all for the good of their community were several teen agers who formed a work party last week during spring vacation. They raked the beach and removed tree limbs which were detracting from the beauty. Those who deserve honorable mention are Barbara Lorch, Mary Beth Luto, Penny Miller, Bill Aalto, Billy Brennan, Jeannie Scarbrough, Ginny Taylor and Jeanne Reid. Nice work, kids. These young people are members of the Griffins, and they meet every Tuesday. Probably won't be too long before their dances will commence at the beach.
