TWO WELL KNOWN McHENRY WOMEN DIE THIS WEEK Mrs. Lillian Leibsohn, one of McHenry's^nost active women in cultural development, died ton McHenry hospital Tuesday morning, May 15, at 8:15 o'clock, following an illness of two months. McHenry by John Varese Ed Buss is trying to figure out a way to play the 17th where he can make a nickel. While playing with Lou Consago, Dick Hester and Jack Theis, he had an eagle on the hole and it cost him. Take lessons from Dick Weber, Ea. He had an 86 Sunday, and he collected from Jack Theis and Joe Etten., Two New Ways To Play the 10 th, by Dick 'Hester alid George Kipsala: Dick Hester's way is by shooting from the 8th fairway through the crotch of a tree at the top of the 10th fairway to the green, and Kinsala's .way by not using the 10th fairway at' all--only the 8th and the 17th. He got a birdie, yet! George scores well, but I'm «ure. he would like to shorten his game by a couple of thousand yards. The .'3rr. hoie was easy Sunday. It was holed out by Earl Seepe, Herb Reihansperger and John Varese--all from about 30 yards. --Tom E.Yans of the games committee wants to remind all members that they are entitled to compete for low net and blind bogey prizes each Sunday so get your names down. There is going to be a little news box put up near the bulletin board for the members so they can write up bits of neX^s about plays on the course Mhat should be printed in this column but are missed. All news items must be signed by the person who writes them: otherwise they will not tK^prjMed. x The twos o nvfi aggregate tournament had \its second week's play Sunday with two contests going for extra holes; Ycgen and Weyland beat Brown and Burns: Rosing and Buss beat A. E v en though McHenry had the advantage of their own field, it didn't help as Dundee won • by a score of 3-1. With this win they took over the North Suburban Conference lead. Dundee led from the very start as they scored a run in the first inning. The run was scored on a single, after a"*hit and a sacrifice bunt. They scored again in the third on two hits. Although both runs were unearned because of nn error with the bases l>;«ded. McHenry scored their only run in the fourth on two singles and a sacrifice. Both teams went scoreless for the remaining innings.without getting a single hit. Both Peters for Dundee and Morenz for McHenrj pitched beautifully, but Peters came out or^top. Peters struck out nine and walked none. Morenz struck out ten and walked one. Morenz now has a record of 4-1, and Peters has a remarkable 6-0 record.
