Bridge Club Outing: The bridge club went on its annua^iieht out last Tuesday, June 12. They had a delicious dinner at a popular restaurant in Crystal Lake. Home avenue who was operated on last Thursday at St. Joseph hospital in Elgin. Millie, his wife, reports he is coming along just fine; and to Millie and Charles Pintozzi's son-in-law, Ralph Johnson of 4312. W. Crestwood, who also has been in St. Joseph's hospital in Elgin with a slipped disc. He will return home sometime this week. And to the Pintozzis' granddaughter, Diane Pintozzi of Crystal Lake, who will be in the Children's Memorial hospital in Chicago by the time this paper comes out. She will undergo a heart operation. Christmas Already? Here's a cooling thought. The Kraters spent the day in Chicago last week at a Christmas show for buyers. Father's Day Doings Bill and Ann Herzog spent Father's day entertaining Bill's children, Mr. and Mrs. Marberg and Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Herzog, both of Oak Park. Ann prepared a delicious dinner for them and afterwards took them on a tour of our subdivision. Petey and Jack Oakford spent Father's day entertaining Jack's father, John Oakford, Sr., of Chicago. Petey had prepared a wonderful dinner and there was a lot of conversation done the rest of the day. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Kroening and children Bpent Father's day in Chicago with Bob's folks. A delicious dinner was served and enjoyed by all. The Chuck Campos spent the weekend in. Chicago. Saturday they celebrated Grace's nephew's birth day, Chuckie Salazar, who will be 5 on June 19. Then on Sunday they went to Chuck's mothers and had their Father's day dinner. The Don Gerstads celebrated Father's day with dinner at Don's folks and then went to Toot's folks for a picnic supper. They managed to leave for home just ahead of a terrific storm. Birthday Celebration Saturday evening Jean and Joe Solari came out from Chicago to help Matt and Sue Grizely celebrate her birthday by going out for dinner. Shirley Meurer's birthday was c e l e b r a t e d l a s t F r i d a y w h e n her Grandma and Grandpa Meurer stopped out for the evening. Then on Monday afternoon she celebrated agafri when the Kroening and Campo families and her brothers and sister went to the beach for a splash party, after which they returned to the house for ice cream cones. Graduation Party Cindy, Shirley and Max Koch went to the high school graduation party of their cous- Mi. Howard Plante, Sunday in Oak Park. A buffet supper was served and a grand time was had. Vacations Last week Linda Grizely spent the week at grandma Mester's house in Chicago. This week Sue's sister, Sharron Mester,, is spending the week with them. Visiting John and Gloria Flannigan and daughter, Kathy, spent last weekend in Cicero. They attended a night at the races with a club to which John belongs. They were the guests of friends, Jen and Jim Flanagan, and spent Sunday with ihem enjoying a delicious back yard picnic. On Wednesday, June 13, Paul and Alma Brushaber visited the Beherendts in Lilymoor. They came home with plants for their garden, given to them by Marie Beherendt and her neighbor, Mrs. Ehret. On Friday, June 15, Alma and Paul drove to Burlington, Wis., where they spent the day with Frieda and Rudy Shultz. Alice and Joe Prorak have their grandson, Grady Giampaola, staying with them for the summer. They also had their nephew, Ed Burke, visiting lust, weekend. aqd Mrs. O. G. The Radisch home on Knoll avenue was actually as busy as the proverbial "bee-hive" this past weekend. On Friday afternoon their eldest daughter, Shirley Lexow, her husband, Chuck, and son, Paul, flew up from Dallas, Texas. They spent Friday and almost all day Saturday helping Bill celebrate Father's day, then went on to Chicago to visit Chuck's folks. Lyda's brother, Ralph Ker.dig of Oak Park, was there Saturday too and enjoyed visiting with tf'h e "Toxans".. On Sunday their youngest daughter, Jackie Riley, her husband, Carl, and Susan, Carl, Jr., and "little Lyda" from Chicago were here for the day and enjoyed a cookout. Other Sunday guests included Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brozek of Oak Park, old school chums of Lyda's; also Rev. MILK VOLUME INCREASE Totaling nearly 559,700,000 pounds, the largest volume of milk in the history of the Chicago market was delivered to Chicago Order 30 handlers in May, Harry L. Edwards, director of marketing for Pure Milk Association, reported today. May deliveries totaled over 9 per cent more than for the same month a year ago. The minimum price paid dairy farmers for this record volume of milk was $3.60 per cwt. on base milk, with a 23-cent superpool included, and $2.97 per cwt. on excess milk. These prices are for milk of 3.5 percent butterfat test delivered to plants within the 55- to 70- mile zone.
