RUTH ANN REGNER, MARRIED SATURDAY FRANK O'GORMAN St. John the Baptist church, Johnsburg, was the scene of a beautiful wedding on Saturday. June 16, when Miss Ruth Ann Regner became the bride of Mr. Frank William O'Gorman. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Regner of 2713 N. Regner rqad. McHenry, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John CGorman of Cary. Rev. Fr. Joseph Blitsch officiated at the 11 o'clock ceremony, for which the children's choir offered the music. Two vases of lilac and white flowers decorated the main altar, and lilac and white bows adorned the pews. The pretty, young bride chose a white, floor length dress of silk organza, styled with long sleeves, "scalloped neckline, and inserts of chantilly lace over the bodice and around the bottom of the dress. Rhinestones adorned the bodice. Her elbow length veil fell from a crown of crystals and pearls. Attending Miss Regner were Margaret Ccstello of Oak Lawn as maid of honor, Audrey Tonyan of McHenry and Charlene Rehbock of Des- Plaines as bridesmaids and Linda Regner of McHenry, sister of the bride, as junior bridesmaid. The adult attendants were attired similarly in broidered alencon lace. The nipped-in waistline featured a how in front, with lace cascading from, the waist into the skirt in front -and extending in back into a full chapel train. Her bouffant, double illusion veil was attached to a magnified rose of pure silk organza. Attending Miss Hester as maid of honor was her cousin, Annette Schroeder, of Palatine. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Barbara Lindholm of GltB* view, a college friend of the bride, and Debbie Hester, sister of the bride, was junior bridesmaid. They wore maizecolored silk ofganza over taffeta sheath dresses, with silk organza, removable bouffant ! master Councilor, over-skirts, featuring borders of maize-colored silk organza embroidered in yellow. Mrs. Elizabeth Fairchild, the new queen's mother, was the guest of honor. Gary Fairchild gave the ode to the flag and Nancy Matthews gave the presentation of flowers. Mrs. Roy Kissling was the soloist and Mrs. Verna Schlofner acted as ,,organist. The rose ceremony was given by Robert Maslowe, master builder of the Order of Builders, Elmhurst Chapter, No. 11. The escort was also given by the Builders. The 9 o'clock interpolation was given by the Emanuel chapter,Order Woodstock and of DeMolay, Rich Irwin, Andrea Thies, cousin of the bride, was the pretty flower girl, attired in a short white silk organza dress with maize cummerbund and matching embroidery on the full skirt. With it she had a maize petal half hat. Lambert Freund served his brother as best man and groomsman was Ashley Kennedy of Evanston. Junior groomsman was Gene Hester, brother of the bride. Jackie Thies, cousin of the bride, was the stately ring bearer. Mrs. Hester wore a Dior blue, pure silk sheath dress highlighted with matching alencon lace, a matching circlet hat and accessories. Mrs. Freund was attired in a Dior blue silk organza over taffeta sheath dress, with which she wore a matching circlet hat, veil trimmed, and white gloves. A reception for 150 guests was held at the McHenry Country club, after which the couple left on a short trip. They will reside at 1503 W. Lincoln road, McHenry. The bride is a 1957 graduate of the McHenry high school and attended Illinois Wesleyan in Bloomington, where she was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority. She is a bookkeeper for Hester Oil Co. The bridegroom graduated in 1954 from the local high school, in 1961 silk lilac sheath dresses with from the University of Illinois' lilac over-skirts of silk. The gowns were fashioned with scoop necklines and short sleeves, and they wore short white gloves and lilac shoes. Their floral headpieces were of white and lilac mums, pom poms and carnations. Linda Regner wore a white lace eyelet dress with accessories in a lilac shade. She carried a bouquet of lilac-colored flowers. Robert Regner and John Regner, both brothers of the bride, and Raymond Widhalm of McHenry attended the groom. Mrs. Regner selected a dusty rose chantilly lace sheath dress with beige accessories. Mrs. O'Gorman wore a black and white nylon chiffon dress with white accessories. A wedding breakfast was served at noon for twenty guests at the Johnsburg Community hall, where a reception was attended later by 150 guests. The couple left on a short trip to Chicago and will make their home in Crystal Lake. The bride is a graduate of Mount Saint Mary academy at St. Charles and is employed at the Oak Mfg. Co., in Crystal Lake. The groom graduated " from Crystal Lake high school, served three years in the Navy and is new a supervisor at the Oaks plant. school of engineering and is now an engineer for the Frank G. OSRITAL Miss Rita Martin underwent foot surgery at St. Francis hospital, Evanston, early this week. When she leaves the hospital later in the week, she will recuperate at the home of a niece, Mrs. Richard Smith, 1510 Muirfield avenue, Waukegan. There will be a Rummage Sale at St. Paul's Episcopal church in McHenry on Friday, July 6, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and on Saturday, July 7, from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m. Besides the usual items, there will be furniture, plants and books featured. Four members of St. Paul's Episcopal church, McHenry, were at Elmhurst college, Tuesday, June 12, where they represented St. Paul's at the annual convention of Episcopal Churchwomen of the Diocese of Chicago. Pink floral headpieces held in place blusher veils, and they carried bouquets consisting of pink carnations and white porri poms. Attending the bridegroom were Dennis O'Brien of Chicago and Bennett Wailes of McHenry, friends, and George Meyer of McHenry, brother of the bride. Mrs. Meyer wore a beige dress, matching a c c e s sories and a cymbidium orchid corsage. T h e groom's mother chose a champagne-c o 1 o r e d dress, apricot accessories and a similar corsage. Breakfast was served at the Legion home to twenty-five guests, and at 6 o'clock, 250i friends and relatives gathered there for an evening reception. The newly weds have left for Denver, where he will graduate from the University of Denver in August. He will then become employed for Western Electric in that city. The groom is a graduate of St. Leo's high school. Rev. Fr. James Vanderpool officiated at the nuptial rite which united in marriage the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Gustavson and the son of,- Mr. and Mrs. P. Klein. The music was offered by Mrs. Marion Slavin and Miss Anne Lunc'borg. ^Church decorations were carried out in a pink one! white theme for floral bouquets on the altar. Blonde Miss Gustavson was pretty in a floor length dress of peau de soie, styled simply with bustle in back. A fingertip veil extended froifi her headpiece. About 300 persons gathered in the hall of Christ the King church for a reception, after which the couple left on a wedding trip to Lake of the Ozarks and Dallas, Texas. They will reside in Chicago. Mrs. Klein is a graduate of McHenry high school and attended Northern Illinois university. She has been employed as a secretary.
