Bernice stayed on until Sunday when her husband drove out to take her home. Kay Sielisch spent last Wednesday in Downers Grove visiting her mother-in-law, Clara Sielisch, who is still confined to bed. Marge and Bill are both very active in the McHenry V.F.W. Bill is dislrict staff officer and Marge is treasurer. Marge does a lot of sewing for the Pink Lady auxiliary and has also taken an active part in the association, P.T.A. and many other civic affairs. Their children, all married, are Margaret, Raymond. George, Ralph and Betty. They proudly lay claim to fourteen grandchildren. I am quite familiar with Marge as many of us are, but if you py to have his father, with them on Father's day. TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO Taken from the Files of June 24. 1937 Spring came to a stormy close Sunday nign< when torrents of rain of cloudburst proportions swept northern Illinois in the worst wind, rain and electrical storm of many years. All creeks in the area were swollen out of their banks and the Fox river lose sixteen inches during the night. Many motorists headed for Chicago after a day in the lakes region, waited at taverns for Ihe storm to abate or put up at hotels or privaite homes. - The rushing waters undermined th-i, railroad trestle north of town and a washout at Terra Cotta held up morning trains. A pretty June wedding took place at St. Mary's church Tuesday morning, June 22, when Miss Rosina Glosson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mat Glosson of McHenry, became the bride of Mr. Albert Amo of Kenosha. Wis. Mrs. Frank Ensign of Palatine, formerly of McHenry, died of heart trouble in a Chic a g o h o s p i t a l W e d n e s d a y morning. * George Henry Harrison passed away at his home in Ringwood June 17.
