We started out at 8 that morning by boarding a bus in Sunny side. Along the way we stopped off in Lakemoor where another troop an(' their leaders joined our happy group. All the way to the city, voices, some high and some low, sang solids that were learned Ju various Scoufing affairs. The ; girls from troops 150 and 26< • nre to lie congratulated on their behavior. Koch- woman | who went along as a helper [ was assigned rirls for the entire trip. They kept an eye on their charges from beginning to end. May I add at this point it wasn't much of a chore at all. Hats off to the five leaders for a well organized trip which took us to our first stop --the Historical Museum of Chicago. Here the girls really saw things that played a most j important part in our country's j history. Following this we . boarded the bus for a short j ride to the Lincoln Park zoo. i First we ate our lunch and \ then look on the tour of the I zoo animals. Needless to say ; the .-'hildren really enjoy this i part. What child does not get , a bang out of the zoo. | Chinatown was our last stop ' before embarking for home, j Once again the group worked J up their enthusiasm at the various sights. Here we did quite a bit of sightseeing and window shopping We entered several of the stores where many souvenirs were purchased. Many of the mothers held their breath while the youngsters browsed around. I guess they were waiting for some crashing sound but as I said before these girls are to be c o n g r a t u l a t e d on t h e i r splendid behavior. The last weary traveller stepped from the bus at about 5:20 that evening. "The end of a perfect day" as the old cliche goes.
