Ham, turkey and all the fixings were served at the Pistakee Yacht club dinner dance on Saturday, July 28, by the chairmen, Mr. and Mrs. C. Rosene. They were assisted by Mr. and Mrs. F. SHOW PERIOD WEDDING GOWNS AT STYLE REVUE Old Friends Hold Annual Reunion Rose Tighe and Margaret Burlinquet were hostesses at a yearly reunion of a group of old friends at their home at Pistakee Bay on Wednesday, when a delicious luncheon was served on the lawn. The remainder of the afternoon was spent in reminiscing. Guests included Ve r o n i c a Ensweiler, Mary Timms, Emily Johnson and Margaret Knuth of Chicago; Dolores Johnson and children of Elk Grove village; Rose Wolf of Wauconda; Olive and Jessie Corbett of Lily Lake; Eleanor White of Burton's Bridge and Rose Walinder of McHenry. Mrs. Fredrick Franz of Crystal Lake, left, and Mrs. Chris Jepsen of McHenry, will be included among the models for the twenty-fifth annual style show and buffet luncheon planned for Wednesday, Aug. 15, at 12:30 o'clock at the V.F.W. clubhouse, McHenry, sponsored by St. Mary's Home and School association. The Betty Nielsen shop Is in charge of the fashion review and will feature approximately fifty fashions on very attractive models, most of them from the McHenry area. An interesting feature of intermission will be a display of wedding gowns dating from 1867 to 1962. Freund-Shaft Exchange Vows A very beautiful weddjng was solemnized in St. John the Baptist Catholic church, Johnsburg, last Saturday, July 28, uniting in marriage Miss Junilla E. Freund, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred P. Freund of 3817 N. Spring Grove road, and Mr. Robert E. Shaft, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanford Shaft of 32^ L-ong View road, Waukegan. Rev. Joseph Blitsch officiated at the 11 o'clock nuptial high Mass. The main altar of the church was decorated with bouquets of white carnations and mums, tipped in turquoise to match the attendants' flowers. The bride was charming in a floor length gown of white silk organza, with lace applique. It was styled with hoop skirt and boat neckline edged with lace applique. Her headpiece was of lace applique over silk organza, to which was attached a fingertip veil, and she carried Amazon lilies, stephanotis and ivy. Miss Clarene Freund acted as maid of honor for her sister and the bridesmaid was Marilyn Rooney of Crystal Lake, a friend. They wore street length, turquoise sheath dresses of silk organza over taffeta, styled with full overskirts. Picture hats of the same color completed the ensemble, and they carried crescent- shaped bouquets of white mums and carnations, tipped in turquoise, and ivy, tied with large white ribbons. Jammie Turner of Rockford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Turner, friends of the bride, was the pretty flowei girl. She wore a sheer white dress trimmed with lace, highlighted with a large sash in turquoise. Her headpiece was in matching color, trimmed in white lace, and her flowers> formed a nosegay bouquet. Lawrence Crail of Waukegan, a close friend of the groom, served as best man, and groomsman was Gerald H. Freund, brother of the bride, Ushers were Stanley John Freund and Norman Freund, brothers of the bride. The small ring bearer was Robert P. Shaft of Waukegan, nephew of the groom. Mrs. Freund selected an ice blue silk sheath dress with silver shadow flower design, with which she wore a matching hat and corsage of Amazon lilies and stephanotis. Mrs. Shaft wore a Dior blue lace dress with matching hat and similar corsage. A reception was held at the McHenry Country club, where a buffet dinner was served to 120 guests following the ceremony. Green street and the late George R. Justen. Rev. Fr. Eugene Baumhofer officiated at the 11:30 o'clock - rite, for which the children's choir offered music. Bouquets of pink and white flowers adorned the main altar. Miss Springman was radiant in a floor length gown of silk organza, with skirt appliqued in lace, extending into a long train. The dress was styled with lace bodice, scalloped neckline and three-q u a r t e r length sleeves. Her floral headpiece held a bouffant veil, and she carried a cascade bouquet of Amazon lilies and ivy. Marian Olsen of McHenry, sister of the bride, acted as matron of honor and bridesmaids were Garnet Spolum of Elgin and Ruth Suchy of Woodstock, friends, and Sandra Springman of Sarasota, Fla., her cousin. N. E. Shore drive, McHenry, became the bride of Mr. David Brough, Jr., son of the senior Broughs of 2500 W. Scheid Lane, McHenry. Rev. E. Nieting officiated at the candlelight ceremony, which was performed at 7:30 o'clock in the evening. Soloist for the nuptial rite was Carolyn Ritthaler, whe sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "Oh Promise Me".. The church was decorated for the occasion with bouquets of glads and daisy pom-poms. Miss Glysing approached the altar, lovely in a gown of s c h i f f l i e m b r o i d e r e d n y l o n , floor length, featuring a sunburst design in back from the waist to the floor, extending into a chapel train. A pearl circle headpiece held a short veil. She was attended by Miss Judith Tyfolt of Rt. 9, McHenry, as maid of honor and by Miss Judith Brough of Griswold Lake, Miss Rosemary Smith of Burnett road, McHenry, and her sister, Miss Beth Glysing, as bridesmaids. All were attired similarly in dresses of yellow nylon chiffon, styled with boat necklines and bodices outlined in yellow applique. The bridesmaids' accessories were of matching color, including their headpieces, which had attached tulle veils. Miss Tyrolt wore white and yellow accessories. All carried colonial bouquets of white daisy pompoms and ivy.
