All types and kinds of home-baked bread, cakes, cookies, jeily, jams, etc., plus home Kr(nvn produce. An appeal to anyone wishing to donate any, bakery or produce will be ^reytly appreciated. Pajama Party Last Friday night, Aug. 10, Miss Evelyn Harrison played hostess to six girls, present at her pajama party. First the girls attended the movie theater, then returned to the Harrison home for refreshments. Those who attended were Susan and Cristy Fossum, Ida Mae Walkington,, Linnea Larson. Summer Wedding On a beautiful Saturday Miss Petrea Jacobsen walked down the aisle of the Ringwood Methodist church to meet her bridegroom, Charlie Sowers. She wore her mother's wedding dress for this happy occasion. The ceremony was preformed by Rev. Brenneman before many of their friends and relatives. Immediately after the ceremony, a reception was held for the new Mr. and Mrs. Sowers with a supper buffet held later in the evening in the church basement. Petrea is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sigurd Jacobsen, and Charlie, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Byron5* Sowers. Both Charlie and Petrea are graduates of McHenry high. They are making their home Personals Mrs. James Wegener and Mrs. Louis Winn of Richmond attended a luncheon and antique show at Lake Geneva, Wis. on Saturday. Callers in the L. E. Hawley home on Tuesday were Mrs. Shirley Woodward and sons Johnny and Timmy of Madison, Wis. On Monday, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Understock and son, Fred, Jr., of Hampshire, 111., were callers in the home of Mrs. Nellie Hepburn. Mrs. Ruby Shepard was a guest in the Anderson home at Twin Lakes, Wis. Thursday and Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Freund of McHenry and K. Hanson of Crystal Lake were Monday visitors in the Mrs. Nellie Hepburn home. Mr. and Mrs. John Hogan are enjoying several days vacation. Georgia Mary Saunders of Sycamore spent several days the past week in the Wiedrick- Wegener home. On Tuesday, Mr. and Mrs. Fink of Wonder Lake were callers on Mrs. Nellie Hepburn. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Kolderup of Barrington were visitors Women of the Moose The Aug. 7 meeting of the Women of the Moose was called to order by the Senior Regent, Alyce Kowal. It was officers' meeting night, honoring Hazel Struwe, our new collegian. The gavel was turned over to Hazel Struwe, the college of Regents chairman, for the evening. Guests for the evening were from Fox Lake 6, Crystal Lake 6, Antioch 4 and DesPlaines 4. McHenry Chapter had sixteen present for the evening. Imogene Ruckstahl, past deputy Grand Regent, was the speaker for the night. College of Regents members present numbered elevn. Mabel Thomas presented Hazel with a corsage from the chapter and Hazel presented gifts to the guests. The ientertainment for the evening included organ selections played by Eunice Toby. Refreshments were served by ihe officers committee. Executive session was held recently at Rockford. Marjorie Fernstrom, Alyce Kowal, Ethel Hagberg, Ethel Bruce ami Lillian Cox were there to represent the McHenry chapter. Aug. 21 at 8 p.m. will be the next meeting night. We hope to see a better attendance. Larry Thomas is home in Kent Acres recuperating from a long stay in the hospital. The chapter is glad to see him home again.
