Busy, Busy, Busy The Farley household has been mighty active with company lately. Marge and Jim entertainetd for their Cousins' Club on that lovely Sunday In July when it rained, and other than to imagine where they put thirty-nine guests when the rains came, we just won't go into that day. One day shortly thereafter Marge's sister and husband, Helen and Tom Caplis, brought Grandma Lyons out for a surprise visit. This gave the children an opportunity to go swimming, although it was kind of on the cool side that day. Then on Sunday, July 29, the Farley family was invited to a family dinner at the home of Marge's brother and his wife, Terry and Joan Lyons. After dinner, a large birthday cake with lighted candles was carried out from the kitchen and an armload of gifts brought out from another room with everyone singing "Happy Birthday, Aunt Marge", and good ole Marge just sat there, dumbfounded; as anyone in her position would. Her entire family was there and how they all kept the surprise party a secret I'H never know. Guests included Marge's mother, Mrs. Lyons; Joan and Terry Lyons and their four all once again of the Johnsburg Rescue Squad dance at the Johnsburg community hall on Saturday, Sept. 1. This is the time to support the men who are at our side at the first sign of trouble. That's It For another week. We hope you have enjoyed this week's column and we'll be back again next week with more bits of news about you, your friends and neighbors. Bye now, have a nice week. They not only had a most pleasant visit but did much to help Mom in the house. Unfortunately, they had to leave before A1 got home, so they missed out on the surprise binhday supper Stan and I had planned. The surprise turned out just fine and the five grandchildren couldn't wait until the candles on the cake were lit so they could sing. Guests Helen and Keith Wegner entertained Keith's cousin and his wife, Donnie and Donna Bauman, of Merrill, Wis., on a recent weekend. They spent most of the time out on the water in their boat and also had ^ fine outdoor barbecue. Sounds like it was a real lun weekend. "Those who buy plants to set out should make proper inquiry from a local nurseryman and receive some assurance that the plant is 'hardy' in the area in which it is to be grown," said William T. Larkin, superintendent of the Illinois Department of Agriculture's Division of Plant Industry.
