A graduate of McHenry high school, she is well known to younger people of the community. At the " ceremony of profession held in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto at the motherhouse of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, on the feast of the Assumption, Aug. 15, thirty-one candidates pronounced their final profession. The Most Rev. Leo A. Pursley D.D., Bishop of Fort Wayne- South Bend, presided at the ceremony and received the vows of the newly professed. A solemn High Mass followed the ceremonies, with the Rev. Claude Boehm C.S.C. of Saint Mary's, as celebrant; assisted by Rev. Louis Putz, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Ind., as deacon and Rev. Paul Miller, Elkhart, Indiana, as sub-deacon. Right Rev. Monsignor John P. Schall, Logansport, and Rev. Joseph M. Blitsch, Johnsburg, were chaplains to his excellency. The Rev. Columban Browning C. P. who had conducted the retreat prior to the profession, gave the sermon for the occasion.
