The weather was very hot during the drive through Texas and Oklahoma but the weather in Mexico City was delightful and always on the cool side. ^ While not visiting with relatives and friends, the Fuentes "walked" the town, visited the various Mexican restaurants and cafes and went to the various native markets where they bought typical Mexican baskets, carved wooden masks, pictures, rebosas, and of course, they brought back some Mexican food for the "annual M e x ijc a n dinner" .^which Ferdinand gives at the Lake (Ferd does all the cotikingj. They also attended the Mexican Folklorico Ballet at the Palace of Fine Arts, which is sponsored by the Mexican government. The ballet was so delightful that when the Ballet appeared in Chicago the early part of September, they attended it again.
