Orchard Heights Subdivision COURT BRIEFS Orville Mueller of McHenry paid a $50 fine when he appeared in the court of Police Magistrate Donald Howard Thursday evening to answer a charge of reckless driving. Bert Fivecoat of Wonder Lake was fined $20 for not having a driver's license. Robert L. Brennan of Ringwood was fined $30 for operating an overloaded school bus when he appeared before Justice of the Peace Charles M. Adams last Saturday. In the same Court, eight drivers were fined for speeding. Fifteen dollar fines were imposed on John Frenden of McHenry and Norbert J. Deichl of Chicago; $14 fine for Lowell A. Denison, St. Charles; $10 fines for Emil S. Wolff and Robert J. Schwetz of McHenry and William E.,Melin of Crystal Lake; $7 for David A. Ladd of McHenry and Victor R. Horton of Palatine. It takes some 18,000 tons of coal to provide the electricity used daily by New York City. Cadet R. K. Burns In Academy Band Cadet Robert K. Burns, Jr.. son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burns, McHenry, has been selected for membership ill Wentworth Military academy's marching band. He will play in the band's brass section, according to Capt. Bob M. Hinds, head of the Academy's music department and band director. The Wentworth band has distinguished itself by its appearances before various military groups and at civic and professional gatherings, both on and off the campus. Within recent years, it has developed a snap drill which evokes favorable comments and high praise from spectators. In this manner, she felt it would be somewhat simplified because by working with smaller groups at the beginning they would not be too unwieldy. The keynote of her reorganization of the Republican women's groups would be to stress the importance of women's work and the vital role they play in the Republican party of the county, state and nation.
