Over 1.000 attended and enjoyed the wonderful steak dinners followed by dancing. Joyce won a table prize of a blender and ice crusher. After the banquet they and Chuek and Eunice Hiese of Holiday Hills dropped in to visit Joyce's dad, "Raymond Klein. Mrs. Klein stayed out here with the children until he came for her on Tuesday. Roger and Joan Jacobson drove tc Marshville, Wis., with their three little ones to visit Rogers family, Warren ana Ruth Droesser for a weekend on the farm. The Dick Fenner family attended a birthday party Monday evening for their 4-yearold godchild, Dani Loveless, in Streamwood. Scooting Both of our Cub Scoutmasters, A1 Bianchi and Mel Stephenson, attended a training course in Harvard. The training course was held by the District Scout Council. Wednesday, Nov. 7, Cub Scout Den 10 of Pack 454 met in the Faith church under the leadership of den mother, Lydia Fenner and her co-worker, Mrs. Sigman. Mrs. Stoll was their special guest. Jimmy Fultz brought the cookie treat and said the grace. The theme for the month is Buckskin Pioneers and the boys worked on their projects and played a game. Both den mothers, Louise Griffeth and Carolyn Congdon attended special training clashes in Crystal Lake. Rcundtahle discussions are "held monthly for leaders in all Scout packs. The last meeting was Thursday, Nov. 8, in Woodstock. Saturday, Nov. 10, all leaders were invited to attend the annual pow-pow in Rockford. The monthly pack meeting of Pack 162 will be held on Nov. 29 at 7:30 p.m. This is for all den mothers, 'Cub Scouts, and parents in this pack. t Brownies Oct. 31 there wasn't anv meeting of Troop 211 as it was Halloween. On Wednesday, Nov. 21, they will have no meeting since it is the eve before Thanksgiving. Dec. 5 is the date of] their investiture. Betty Radner is the leader of Brownie Troop 211 which meets in Faith church every Wednesday at 8 p.m. She has a job outside of the home and a l s o f i n d s t i m e f o r h e r Brownies and present family of four active children. Ed afld Bet ty's eldest daughter, Sandy, is married and presented them with their first grandchild recently. The Radner family have resided in Eastwood Manor for 6 years. Their next eldest is son, Dick, who is 18. next in line is - Cynda Lou, just 14, Jackie is 11, and Pam is 7. Betty was a brownie co-leader so that gives her wonderful experience for leading these girls. She is a member of a monthly Tripoli Club and loves to read good books, dance, and sew. Kay Stephenson is the coleader of this same troop. She was a Cob Scout den mother for two years and also is a room toother for Hilltop school. She lias a son; Mark, age eleven, and her daughter, Betsy, is a new Brownie, age «even. Husband Mel is a Cub Scout master. Kay's hobby is her yard. SEEK CONSTRUCTION AID Federal funds are being sought to finance construction of a scenic highway through the Tllinois Ozarks and Shawnee National Forest between the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers in Southern Illinois, Gov. Otto Kerner has announced.
