Sorry, girls, you'll haw to wait till you're 16, I'm afraid. The time of gusty winds and lurkey dinners is here again. Tomorrow we'll be gathering in kitchens or dining rooms with the delicious aromas of Thanksgiving in the air. MOsr of us have had something to make us especially grateful on this Thanksgiving. A lot has happened to us here in the Shores since Thanksgiving -wer. There were many new arrivals this year: Cynthia Ann Hat tan, Dorothy Ann Dobbcrtin. Jennifer Lynn Bonk and Beth Susan Lexow were the girls. While in the little boy category there were Jeffery Donald Musielak, Robert John Harper. Jr.. ".and the Clarence Schweikerts' new little grandson, Keith Schweikeii. The J o h n G a l e s b e c a m e p r o u d grandparents of twin boys. The Sc-hopp family "had rea-' son to be pleased this summer when their daughter, Linda, won second plage in a beauty contest; Bonnie O'Brien had a lovely autumn wedding u hi< h I-'m sure most of us remembered; and the Brods can thankful for a happy 25 years of married life; Karen Linnty? ll and Johnny K o r n e r pleased their families by winning scholarships. There were a number of successful parties and many good times. There will be something for 'each of us for which to give thanks tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving. ,On the Sick List John Gale has been very ii! and is now staying at his daughter's 1 home in Chicago. I'm sure he would appreciate some cards and get well wishes from his friends. The program was an interesting talk and slides on Mexico given by Mr. and Mrs. Koberstine. Vocal selections were also given. Mrs. Ramage learned that a close friend of hers died suddenly of ptieumonia and Mrs. Hinz' niece, Miss Judy Freeman of New Port, Richey, Fla.. was killed in an automobile accident last week. Our sympathy to both families. The Paulins had company iast Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hudon of Chicago came out for a visit with their granddaughter, Leona Dasso. In the afternoon Pearl had quite a nice surprise when sixteen ladies of the French club popped in unexpectedly. Pearl served a nice lunch, the ladies enjoyed a game of cards and a good time was had by all. Luncheon at a nearby farm restaurant was enjoyed by Virginia Verstege, Irene Mueller, Mildred Snively and Helen Smjth last Wednesday. When Sam and Louise Winters returned from their visit in New Jersey they brought Sam's mother back home with them. After visiting with the family over a long weekend she returned home yesterday. There's been quite a bit of flu bug going around and many of us have been bitten pretty hard; Millers, Ewalds, Frankie Kratky, to name a few. Let's try to stay well for the holidays. Everyone had their flu and cold shots? Patt and Bob Petersen will be having out-of-town guests for the Thanksgiving holidays. Patt's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ziegler, and her little sister, Diana Lynn, will be arriving this afternoon. A festive Thanksgiving dinner has been planned at a famous Wisconsin farm-type restaurant.
