Well good, then I'm not alone. Apologizing for something like this only makes it worse but here goes anyway. I finished my column tonight and felt very smug about the whole thing thinking that for once I'd found all the back of envelopes, paper sacks, matchbook covers and other things I write news notes on and save for the weekend. Later in rummaging through a bunch of bills, papers, magazines, etc., looking for a certain article I came across a paper with a news article on it -- which must have been given to me to write up last week and I put it in the envelope with another paper and completely lost it until this minute. It was supposed to go in last week according to the date on it. It will be too late by the time this paper gets out so will the persons who gave me the article on Local Achievement meeting at Harrison School Nov. 27 please forgive me. Why don't you write »nd have me fired or something. I ask for news from the school and when I get it I goof . . . What more can I say? It had my name in it too. That proves it wasn't intentional cause I never pass up a chance to get free publicity. COUNTY TV TOPICS TV STUFF by Ed Vestgard OFF OR ON The turning 'off and on' procedure of your television set creates more wear and tear on the tubes and hundreds of operation. If you think that operation. If youq think that you'll not be away from your TV set for more then an hour, you're better off to keep it running. The motion of contraction and expansion on the fine units wears parts faster than the even heat temperature of a constant running set. And the difference in cost for TV service between qualified TV technicians with proper electronic equipment with that of tube changing mechanics is negligible when you consider the quality and length of viewing satisfaction.
