Connie's m o t h e r , " G r a n d m a " P a r k e r came and stayed with the girls during Connie's stay at the hospital and then stayed on for a while to see that her newest grandd a u g h t e r was well cared for. Condolences OUr sincere sympathy to Helen Boettcher on the death of her mother, Mrs. Regina Leland. The Boetlcher family left- here on Wednesday, Nov. 21, for Eau Claire. Mrs. Leland passed away at the age of 67 on Thursday, Thanksgiving .pay. She had been ill since September and beside Helen she leaves "two other daughters and a son. : H.H.P.OT.A. Meeting The Holiday Hills Property Owners association held thair November meeting at the Patz home on the corner of Sunset and Lilac on Monday, Nov. 26, at 8:30 p.m. Business for the evening included the recent grading of the-roads and the cancellation of t^he general December meeting. Woman's Club Christmas Party The Holiday Hills Woman's club will celebrate the holidays with a Christmas party on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at St. John's Ev. Lutheran church in Island Lake. There will be no business meeting for the evening to allow for the festive program. Entertainment will be provided by the dance class. Don't forget your grab bag gift. See you there gals. Holly Hop There's just a little more than one week left until the Holly Hop. That's on Satur day, Dec. 15, at the Waucon da American Legion. Ticket sales are coming along so if you don't have yours yet, be sure to get them now. There will be lots of fun and dancing in a gay festive holiday mood. Several windows and storm doors have been damaged. These can be replaced, but if it should hit a child's eye this can't be replaced. No one would want to be responsible if a child were hurt. To avoid tragedy be sure you know when and how your child is using his B.B. gun. Golden AnniversarJ' Renee and Larry Jende and children travelled up to Wausau, Wis., to spend Thanksgiving day with Renee's brother, Tom Dzanbazoff. Then on to Weyauwega, Wis., to celebrate Larry's parents golden w e d d i n g a n n i v e r s a r y . T h e y feted the folks with a large party with approximately 100 guests present. Among the guests were Gerry and Hal Breede and son, Roy. The Jendes returned on Sunday night a very tired family. Friends and neighbors of Harry Carlson were saddened by the news of his untimely death. Mr. Carlson was stricken with the heart attack that took his life while driving his car in McHenry last Thursday afternoon. He spent his summers in this village for many years and moved here as a permanent resident some time ago. During this time he has acquired many friends, who will remember him as a very helpful and generous man. The funeral Mass was said at Our Lady Help of Christians church in Chicago, with interment at All Saints cemctery last Monday. Among his survivors are his wife, Marcelle and sisters, Lillian, Alice and Judith. neider were joined in marriage last Saturday, morning at St. John the Bgptj$t church in Johnsburg. To the newlyweds go our wishes for a very happy life together. Wedding Bells Janyce and August Bank- Kathy and Debby, spent threo days here visiting friends and picking up forgotten items. Barbara and the little ones spent their time with Lorraine and Dick Bemis while Sandy spent most of her time with her very good friends, Linda Uehlman and Bonnie McWilliams, and Lynn spent most of his time with his buddies at the McWilliams house. Gen Kosup marked the pass- GenKosup marked the passing of another yeer on Dec. 4. However her friends and family gathered on Sunday to sing happy birthday and wish her well. Those in attendance were: Frank and Rena Pogany, Clyde Pokett, Don Massheimer, Wally and Steph Szarek, Dawn, Johnny, Wendy and Sherry Foute, Gerry, Liz and Lisa Evans, and Carol, Les and Lessie Venable. New Neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gauger have moved to our village recently. They reside on Maplewood drive. They've come to our part of the country from Chicago in order to be near their children who live in Lilymoor. To these new neighbors we extend the warmest welcome. Shower for Jackie Several neighbors gathered at the Teuber home on Tuesday" Nov. 20, to attend a baby shower on Jackie Bodenheim. Welcome Visitor Barbara Csuti and four of her children, Sandy, Lynn, Couples Club The Couples club of St. John's Lutheran church will hold its December meeting at the church Sunday, Dec. 9.
