The eleven are Carroll Beck. Donald Cameron, Richard Johnson, Dean Kennebeck, Bei t Kissling, Mark Laskowski, Janies Marshall. Edward Parks, Sandra Rodenkirch. Douglas Sellek and Roger Thompson. '$ Monetary awards to a maximum of $600 and honorary awards offering no financial assistance will be granted to qualified semi-finalists. Certificates of merit are given to each state scholarship winner including those who forfeit future consideraton by selecting an unapproved or out-of-state institution. Designate Funds The designated' funds appropriated by the 72nd General Assembly will determine the final number of state scholarship winners to be announced next April. More than ".000 students i have been financially assisted in the Illinois State Scholarship program since its inception in 1958. Most recently 535 upperclass students received financial assistance at fifty-eight institutions in Illinois through their participation in the commission's up- Top students in the three Junior high school grades were listed this week on the "A" honor roll. Still, *executive vice-president and cashier of the State Bank of Woodstock, has been appointed general chairman of the McHenry county volunteer savings bonds committee, according to word received from Arnold J. Rauen of McHenry, state director of savings bonds division United States Treasury department. He will head up a committee composed of civic leaders for the promotion of the^kale of series E and H United States^ savings bonds by banks, industrial firms, newspapers, radio stations, and farm and labor organizations in the county. Ziebel of itt. 9, McHenry, was fined $47 for "acceptance of liquor by person of non-age". Ziebel was apprehended with several othr teen-agers in the parking lot near the local roller rink.
