As I promised they would, they made a pretty picture in the uniforms and we parents and leaders popped a few buttons with pride to see them live up to their Girl -Scout promise with such enthusiasm. Troop 295 It was with heavy hearts that we called the girls and told them our hike, planned for this week, would have to be cancelled. The weather was bgainst us beyond hope. Instead the girls gathered at our house and brought the lunches they had prepared to cook over the open fire. We stuck the tinfoil wrapped goodies in the oven and had a meeting land when lunch was ready we isat down on our sit-upons to enjoy then. And enjoy them we did. Even little Paul was up from his nap by this time and got a bite from almost every girl. No wonder he weighs thirty pounds at filteen months. During the meeting we discussed quite a few different things. After cleaning up we made favors for Mc- Henry hospital for St. Patrick's day and then we reviewed the Agenda for next week's meeting, sang "Taps" and had a "Good night squeeze" circle to close our meeting. Oop«! Sorry! Dept. I goofed again! I forgot to mention last week about the Johnsburg public school P.T.A. meeting. I'm truly sorry. I Jiope it won't happen again. While I'm talking about meetings, I believe the Juvenile Girl Foresters will meet next Monday evening; at the community club hall and the following Monday evening the St. John's Home and School Association will hold their meeting. Sick List I'm sorry to report that Geoirge Kropf's father, Max, isn't much better. As of this writing he is scheduled to undergo surgery on Monday, March 18. Please pray for him.
