What better place than to tlie Ringwood Met hodist church basement for a ppneake breakfast given by the Intermediate M.Y.F. They wilKS be serving from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. or Easter morning. There will be coffee, milk, pancakes and all the rest for a complete meal. You can enjoy a morning out of your kitchen, get waited on and help these youngsters out. How about it? Get hubby to take the whole family out. Sr. Hi. M.Y.F. Report Linda Low reports: On Sunday, March 24, the Sr. HI M.Y.F. met at 7 p.m. for a short meeting. We discussed the spring subdistrict meeting that will be held April 26 and 27, on Friday and Saturday. It will be held in Spring Grove at the retreat house and school. Next week, Sunday March 30, the Ringwood Sr. Hi. M.Y.F. will go to the Science, and Industry Building in Chicago with Spring Grove, Ingleside, and Greenwood M.Y.F. We will meet at the church at 8:30 a.m. Hoffman-Hardesty Nuptials On a sunny perfect day last Saturday Miss Wilma Hoffman, daughter of Mrs. Edith Banks, and Mr. John Hardesty of Woodstock were united in a pretty ceremony at the Ringwood Methodist church with Rev. Bruce Brenneman officiating. Miss Lilly Boyd was the bridesmaid for her sister with Miss Judy Pope and Miss Judy Harrison also attendants. There was a reception in the church basement following the ceremony. The young couple will reside in Woodstock where Mr. Hardesty is employed. Many and best wishes are extended to the young couple School Children Visit The County Court House On March 6, the third and fdurth grades along with their teacher, Mrs. Mecklenberg, visited in the court house annex in Woodstock for a tour through the many offices guided by Mr. Hall. Since the one afternoon didn't give them much time, on March 20, three cars drove to Woodstock once again, this time to go thru the court house. The youngsters were guided by Mr. Hall to the offices of our treasurer, the recorder of deeds, the clerk's office, where they got to see one of their birth certificates. Judge Cooney's court room, and last but not least, the most fascinating to the youngsters, the sheriff's offices and .mil. The patrolman showed how the 2-way radio works, then snmf of the firearms, etc., and the one thing they all remembered, a tour through the cells themselves. Tills seemed to be tho talking rage all the way homo Thus ended an afternoon of "a visit to the Court House." Vacancies Open On School Board of Districts There will be an election on April 13, in the Ringwood school building for two vacancies on the school board. Then.- is a three year term vacated by the expired term of Robert Brennan. With Duane Andreas moving out of the school district, there is an unexpired two years of his three year term left v&ant. There will be nominations on the Saturday of election, to be held before the actual voting So far, the only persons seeking nominations are Claytor: Bruce and Jim Preston. Clayton for the three year term, and Jim for the two year term. This, however is open. Watch the paper next week for the notice as to the hours of the nominations and the voting. I will be writing more next week, as well as notices put in the paper and in town Card Club Meets The card club met in the home of Bertha Peet in Richmond last Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Ruby Shepard took high with Mrs. Flora Carr having low. with David's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Weigle of Peoria, in celebration of David's birthday. Mrs. Nellie Hepburn visited Ben Just en of McHenry, who is a patient in the Rest Homo in Genoa City, Wis., on Sunday afternoon. Sunday callers in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wolf Shadle were Mr. ahd Mrs. Ronald Papas of Chicago. On Sunday afternoon, Mrs. Nellie Hepburn called on Mrs. Nellie Stewart in Richmond and Mrs. Lutterman of Antioch. Mr. and Mrs. John Skidmort and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bov.- man were callers in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Pacey in Wilmot, Wis. Mrs. Flora Carr and Miss Mae Wiedrich attended the Spring Grove card party last Tuesday. Mrs. Millie Rush of Richmond spent the weekend in the Mr. and Mrs. John Ehlert home. Stearns. The youths and the letters they earned, are as follows: Cadet Jon Fidler, son of Capt. and Mrs. Paul E. Fidler, 3100 W. Riverstream drive, and Cadet Robert Bums, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burrs, McHenry. Presentation of the letters were made at a special convocation of the cadet battle group. Add about lb cup water and let simmer 20 minutes, then &uu pickle relish and chili sauce and seasonings and cook slowly lor 45 minutes. Serve on toasted buns. LOCAL PRINCIPAL ATTENDS TEACHER PLACEMENT DAY Marvin C. Martin, M.C.H.S. principal, was among 165 school administrators representing 143 Illinois schools who participated in the eighth annual teacher placement day activities last Friday, arranged by the University of Illinois College of Education. Three twenty-minute Interview periods were held in the new Illini room, with qualified teaching candidates from the College of Education on hand to hear details of teaching vacancies.
