Auxiliary News The Woman's auxiliary held its monthly meeting Monday, April 1. The third and final reading of the amendment on finances and dues was read. It now will be in the by-laws. Discussed was a card party to be held Saturday, June 15, in the large hall of Club Lilymoor. It will be a father's night card party. Tickets will be available soon, Workers are Pearlo Stineman chairman, her co-workers are Connie Johnson, Ida Legge, Helen Rodde and Marion Leske. The corhmunity clean-up was discussed among the women. It will be on Saturday May 4. It will be the same as the last two years, clcan-up and a potluck supper after. The supper will be held at Club Lil.vmooi. Those who Will work cn the pot-luck supper and make tl^ arrangements are Pearlo Stin man chairman, her co-worke are Connie Johnson, Ilelc Rodde and Shirley Schuerr. Winners were Sophie Peterson, Home And Garden Club The iririies have formed a home and garden club. Anyone who is interested may join. They will meet every two Weeks on a Wednesday. The main purpose of the club is to help each other on gardening, or anything pertaining to the home. Some of the ladies are interested in learnlhg how to knit and other fancy works. , There has been a misundrstanding on the part? of gardening. You will not be digging up each other yards. It is to learn how to plant things and how to take care of a garden. And it will also show some how to tell a plant from a weed. Returned Home Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sarloy returned home after spending six weeks at their winter home at Miami, Fla. While there they also visited with their two sons. Welcome home, Mr. and Mrs. Sarley. Shower Roseanne Spears was the guest of honor at a' surprise baby shower held for her at the home of her aunt, Louii* Fabian, Sunday, March 31, in Chicago. Eight women, aunts and close friends were there to surprise Roseanne. The weeone- to-be received beautiful gifts. Roseanne is the former Roseanne Brzezinski of Lakemoor. Get-Well Wishes go to \lma Hueckstaedt. Alma has been in the McHenry hospital.^ Get-well wishes also go to Theron Young who has been ill. Red Faced This reporter's face is red. 1 am very sorry but forgot two of the ladies who attended the farewell party for Leona Fantus. They are Marge Polinski and Lois Schiavone. Mr, Adams attended the McHenry schools and graduated from Lake Forest college with a degree in economics. He seeks re-election on the board of District 156, which he has served as president. Mr. Adams is a golf professional at the McHenry Country club. Married to the former Marjorie Davis, the Adams' have three sons, Gary, Craig and Nelson. GEORGE M. FREUND seeks to fill the unexpired term of Ralph Bennett, having been appointed to the board following the death of Mr. Bennett last October. Mr. Freund is a graduate of McHenry high school and is associated with his father in the George P. Freund Implement business. His civic affiliations include memberships in the Legion. V.F.W. and Catholic Order of Foresters. A lifelong resident of the area, he now resides at Wonder Lake with his wife, Gloria, and four children, Bob, Patricia, Carol and Linda. JEROME "JERRY" KALK resides at 3701 W. Idyll Dell road, McHenry, and has resided in the community for the past eight years. He has a BS degree from the University of Wisconsin and an MA degree in secondary school administration, later taught for seven years in high schools, and acted for three years as recreational director. At present, he is assistant manager of the local Ben Franklin store. In Wisconsin, Mr. Kalk served as recreation director in two cities, and has also been active locally as vice-chairman of the Boy Scouts finance committee and chairman of the Red Cross drive. He and his wife have three children, Michael Dean, 3'a. Kelly Joyce, 18 months, and Bruce Robert, onr month old. LcmjIS E. MARCHI has resided locally for eight and one-half years and lives at 7319 W. Trey road. He holds bachelor of science, master of science and doctor of philosophy decrees and formerly tauirht chemistry at Georgia Institute of Technology, Indiana university and the University of Pittsburg. At present, he is owner of United Rent-AJls. Mr. Marchi has been active in civic affairs. He has served as director of radiological services for the city, as radiological defense officer for the county, chairman of the legislative committee for the PTA in the city and county and chairmam of the March of Dimes. WITTROCK District 15 He and his wife, Margaret McKee Marchi, have five children, Margaret Louise, a student at the University of Illinois, Susan Frances and Stephen Albert in high school and Catherine Alice and Deborah Lynn in grade school. HERB REIHANSPKRGER. a lifetime resident of McHenry, lives at 3901 W. Kane, McHenry. Mr. Reihanspcrger attended McHenry schools and holds a BA degree in economics at the University of Wisconsin. He is engaged in business as an insurance agent. His civic affiliations include service as commander of the Legion, vice-president of the Community PTA, presidentelect of McHenry Rotary and also holds membership in the McHenry Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife, Marilyn, have three children, Mary Lynn, John and Susan. HENRY C. SETZLER has been a resident of Wonder Lake for sixteen years. He is employed as a construction electrician. A graduate of Maine Township high school. Mr. JSetz'er later attended Grinnell college for two years and the Illinois Institute of Technology for one year, and for four years served in the Signal corps. Mr. Sctzler is now serving in his fifth year on the Harrison grade school board. He is a member of the Moose lodge of Woodstock, Legion of the Moose, Meeca 9, Aurora, member of the executive board of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 117, of McHenry and Kane Counties, and is secretary-treasurer in the McHenry County Building and Construction Trades council. He and his wife, Jane, formerly of Evanston, have three children. Donna in high school and Joyce and Dean in Harrison school. A member of the board of directors of Indian Ridge -ubdivision for fifteen years, he is now serving his sixth year as president. DONALD WEINGART seeks re-election on the board after serving for the past three years. A lifelong resident of McHenry, Mr. Weingart resides at 4215 W. Crestwood drive. He is a graduate of St. Mary's parochial school and McHenry high school. For the past ten years he has been employed as a salesman for Carey Appliance, Inc. He and his wife, Rose Mary, have three children, Alan. 9, Karen, 7, and Jane, 16 months. DISTRICT 15 V. MRS. NAOMI MEYER of 2709 W. Pueblo drive, McHenry, is a candidate for re-election to the board of District 15, which she has served as secretary for four years and as a member for nine years. A summer resident for ten years, Mrs. Meyer and her family moved to McHenry to make their permanent residence in 1949. Mrs. Meyer is a graduate of Morgan Park high school in Chicago and attended business college for one year. She has had experience in banking, having worked with two Chicago institutions, and later acted as legal secretary and was employed in insurance work and bookkeeping. She is a member of the Community Methodist church, and active in P.T.A. work. Married to Helmuth E. Meyer, the couple has two sons, Jack Edward, a senior, and William Alan, a freshman in the local high school. AUGUST J. UTTICH has been a nine-year resident of McHenry and makes his home at 5103 Shore drive. He seeks re-election after serving one term on the board. Mr. Uttich has a BA degree from the Unive" ity of Illinois and took post graduate courses at Loyola university. He is now engaged as a chemical engineer for National Dairy Research and Development. A past president of the Lakeland Park Property Owners association, he was a former PTA president and has served on the Art Fair committees. Mr. Uttich and his wife, Dorothy, have three children, Mary Barbara, 11, Thomas, 8, and Katie, 5%. EDWIN C. WITTROCK of 1829 S. Orchard lane, McHenry, was educated in Chicago schools and graduated in 1941 from Steinmetz high school. He later attended West Virginia Wesleyan, and while in the Army Air corp took various courses at Northwestern evening college. At present, Mr. Wittrock is a layout-draftsman in the engineering department of the Frank G. Hou^h Co., in Libertyville, where he has been employed for the last six and onehalf years. A candidate for District 15 member, he previously served as a member of that board from 1959 to 1962. Local affiliations include past vice-president of Community PTA, former assistant scoutmaster of Boy Scouts, McHenry Little League, treasurer of McHenry County Citizens Information center, president of the choir of the Community Methodist church and chairman on Commission on Worship of the church. He and his wife, Irene, have two children, Cheryl, a junior in high school, and Chris, a fifth grader in Landmark school. The Wittrocks have resided.in McHenry since 1962.
