Dong Sellek Awarder Scholarship Congratulations to Doug Sellek who was the only Wonder Laker to be awarded a scholarship by the Illinois State Scholarship Commission. Award recipients were selected from semi-finalists who qualified on the results of the American College testing program examination given in November 1962. Winners must attend an approved private or public college Wonder Woods Egg Hunt Successful About seventy-five plus children thoroughly enjoyed the Easter egg hunt on Easter Saturday morning. Large Easter baskets were the rewards for the lucky winners and ics cream and potato chips were served to all the little hunters. Winners in the 2-3 year old Glass were Donna DeWerdt and Billy Rankin. In the 4-5-and 6 year old class winners were Christy Rades, Diana Roberts and Jeff and Robby Borchardt. In the 7 to 9 age group (the big kids) Linda Gould and Roxanne Rousey took the honors. Many thanks to the weatherman for cooperating so nicely. Bridge Club Harriet McCall entertained the W. L. Bridge Club Thursday evening and served delicious German-chocolate cake and coffee. High scorers were Jean Hartman and Ruth Woodward while Martha Thompson was low. Others playing were Simone Fuller, Greta Weisenberger, Joanne Higgins, and Maxine Bixby. Mrs. Fuller will have the May party. Congratulations To Mr. and Mrs. Gary Qimmings of Highland Shores on the birth of a brand new daughter, Kathleen, who weighed 7 lb. and 1 oz. and who was born at Woodstock hospital. Kathleen has a "big" sister awaiting her arrival at home. Miss Cristy Cummings will be one year old next week and it isn't every little girl who gets a new baby sister for a birthday present. These workers stuffed and finished the twenty-four hand puppets which Mrs. Tony Weretka had stitched in advance. In attendance were Mesdames Harold Wohnrade, Harry Davidson, George Halbauer, John Fuhrer, Larry Fuhrer, Tony Weretka and Walter Faust. Mrs. Davidson won the hostess prize.
