A holiday. A family day. A perfect day for a ride in the park or a game of golf or a snooze. One day in the week to rest and relax a little--to refresh yourself and collect your thoughts. as they used to be? WE BELIEVE IN SUNDAYS... And we believe they should be set apart, kept free from the grind and bustle of six other days each week...not turned into a selling carnival by a few merchants who think only of profits. Profits, by the way, which won't last long. Competition will soon push every merchant into the seven-day rat race. Then who will have the advantage? Certainly not the stores, with an extra day of operating costs, but no competitive edge. Certainly not the shoppers, who will pay for the longer week in higher retail prices, and many other ways... BUT BY THAT TIME IT WILL BE TOO LATE Illinois will wake up and wonder what happened to Sunday. Taxes, prices will be higher; your lives will be even more commercialized, your right to leisure ignored, your human dignity damaged. THAT'S WHY WE FAVOR A SUNDAY CLOSING LAW... A reasonable law that protects yoiir Sunday, yet makes available the necessities of modern living. Join us in supporting the Sunday closing bill now under consideration in Springfield; write your state legislators today in care of the State Capitol, Springfield, and tell them, "Sunday selling's not for Illinois!" Urge them to vote YES on Senate Bill 483. / SUNDAY IS YOUR DAY-PROTECT IT BUSS FORD SALES LEE & RAY ELECTRIC RAINBOW CLEANERS GEM CLEANERS BEN FRANKLIN STORE CAREY APPLIANCE, INC.
