New Blossom The family tree of Lowell ahd Donna Anderson blossomed out when they welcomed a daughter on June 3. Dawn Marie arrived at St. Theiese's hospital weighing 7 lbs. 11 oz This young lady has n throe year old brother, Scott. Lowell's grandmother is keeping a watchful eye on the whole family until Donna regains her strength. Congratulations and best wishes to Dawn's parenls and grandparents. On The Mend Young Roger Pechous jus) got out after being "cooped up" with the chicken pox and mumps. Now his two listers, Pam and Sherry, are having their turn with the chicken pox. Oh happy day for Mom! We were all most happy to hear th&t Mrs. Joe E. Freund came through her surgery with flying colors. If everything goes as planned, she shou'd be home by .the time this crtmes to print. We all hopr this is the end of her troubles. A little bird told me Mike Roberts is laid up with a bail case of measles. Just take il easy Mike and you will soon be out playing real soon. Billy La Fontaine enlered St. Joseph's hospital in Elgin last Sunday. He underwent surgery on his log once again. This fellow has been in and out of the hospital and in a cast for almost three years now. There is high hopes for the end of all of this by nexi September. Graduation Celebration** Close to fifty persons were in our home last Tuesday evening to celebrate a double graduation. Ted Stilling received his diploma from eighth grade in St. John's school while his brother, Ken, graduated from Marian Central high. The bad weather threatened for awhile but we managed to eat outdoors. Bonnie Oeffling and Diane Oeffling shared a double celebration also when both girls graduated from St. John's on June 2. 'Mr. and Mrs. "Pete" Peterson hosted a large gathering for son, Bill, who graduated from the McHenry high school last Thursday. Bill wasfaward- ®d a scholarship and wi'l attend Carthage College in Ken >sha next fall. • Mrs. Anna Guy^er attended the graduation of her grandson, Bob Guyser, from a military academy in Delal'ield. Wis., last Sunday. She was so proud of Bob, who was in full dress uniform and a platoon leader. Eddie Ray, an v.ncle, of Prairie du Cliien and Krs. Katie Guzzardo and Hilda Connell also attended the exercises. Mr. and Mrs. Gerry ITcttermann and daughter, Sandy, and Kathy Hettermann attended the graduation ce'ebration of Sandy's friend Dick and his sister in Woodstock last Saturday evening. Forester Meeting The regular monthly meet in:;; of the lady Foresters will be held next Tuesday. June IS. at 8 p.m. in the community club hall. At this time initiation of new members will be held. Committee for this evening includes Mn.bel Smith. Barbara Freund. Charlene Freund, Ardella Conway. Patricia Klein, Dorothy Adams Phyllis Kalemba and Elaine Schmaling. Car Wash Next Saturday bo'rirmirv; at 10 a.m. and continuing through the day, the boy Foresters will hold a car wash. This will take place on the community club grounds. Be sure to help these boys make this a success and bring your car down for a thorough cleaning. These lads promise a good job. Q. Attends Baptism Our family, Jim, Jay, Karen, Ted and myself along with Mrs. Tom Keenan, Mrs. Herman Dowe, Sherry Dowe and her boy friend, Ron, were in Urbana last Sunday. We were "uests for dinner in the home of Don and Betty Dowe. The Dowes' baby Marsha Leigh, was baptized at 1:30 that afternoon. Joan Keenan and Ted Stilling were sponsors for the infant. Betty Dowe was godmother for Ted fourteen years ago and now he is godfather to her daughter. Named On Conference All-Stars Our young men made sport news once again! The pictures of Lloyd Smith Ted Freund and John HiHer appeared in last week's paper when they were chosen as members of the all-conference baseball team of 1963. Good Luck, Boys! Temporarily Inactive Bob Hiller who is playing ball with a farm team near Tampa, Fla., is laid up for awhile. He was spiked on the hand recently. We hope this is the end of his injuries and every thing in his future is brighter. Men To Meet The men Foresters will meet tonight Thursday at 8:30 p.m. n the community club ha'l.
