Auxiliary News The Woman's auxiliary held its monthly meeting Monday, June 3. A family picnic was discussed at this meeting. It will be held in July, more details to follow after next month's meeting. Winner of the monthly prize was Pearle Stineman. Hostesses for the June meeting were Helen Rodde, Marion Vornkahl and Lil Wijas. The next monthly meeting will be held Monday, June 1, in the large hall of Club Lilymoor at 8 p.m. Hostesses for the July meeting are Ruth Young, Lee Bassi and Tena Bellino. Burning Of Garbage There has been several complaints about persons burning garbage in the village of Lakemoor. There is an ordinance against burning of garbage in the village. It has gotten to where a person can't even walk out into their yard the smoke and smell is so bad, let alone getting this odor into their homes. There is a weekly pick-up of garbage, so there is no reason to burn such garbage and trash. The police will be giving person or persons tickets for burning of such garbage. Let your neighbor enjoy the outdoors and their homes without the smoke and smell of burning garbage. Firemen News The McHenry Township Fire Protection District trustees appointed John Sulok Junior Assistant Chief of Company 3 of Lakemoor. He will hold this position for the next two years. 'ihe firemen of Lakemoor Company 3 held their election of officers. The men elected to office were Bill Gibson, captain, John Hose, lieutenant, and Johnny Foute, secretary. Those firemen who elected them to office are Chuck Abel, Art Heald, Tony Hersch, C. Miller, Ed O'Rourke, Louis Schueler and Harry Strnad The residents of both subdivisions can be proud of their firemen. Graduation Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brady attended the graduation of their son, Terry, Saturday June 1, from St. Thomas college in St. Paul, Minn. Terry majored in business administration. He received many honors. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree. Terry was seventh highest in his class. Congratulations on your graduation and receiving high honors, Terry. Get-Well Wishes go to Marge Polinski. Marge was taken to the McHenry hospital Wednesday June 5. We are all hoping you are home and in the pink of health, Marge. Home And Garden Club met at Mrs. Zundel's home Wednesday, June 5. Several things about gardening were discussed.
