The sale will be made on the following terms: The County Board of School Trustees will sell said real estate at public sale to the highest and best bidder provided, however, that no bid will be considered for less than $5,000.00 and that upon such sale a contract is to be entered into between the County Board of School Trustees of McHenry County, Illinois, by its Secretary, and the successful bidder and that at the conclusion of the bidding the successful bidder be required to deposit 20 per cent of the amount bid and to pay the balance of the purchase price within 30 days provided a deed shall be ready for delivery. If the balance of the purchase price is not paid within 30 days, then at the option of the County Board of School Trustees, the 20 per cent deposit will be retained as liquidated damages and the successful bidder will forfeit all interest in the property. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Bottler of Pewaukee, Wis., visited friends here Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Beeman of St. Petersburg, Fla., who were making their headquarters in Crystal Lake while visiting relatives in this vicinity, called on friends in McHenry Tuesday. Mrs. Beeman was a former Woodstock resident. Michael Meyer and Edward Prurnl are enjoying a mof 91- trip through the west with California as their destination. Dr. and Mrs. Henry Freund spent a few day recently in the home of his sister, Mrs. William B. Eaton, in Princeton, 111. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Weber have returned from a two weeks trip to Charleston, S. C., where they visited in the home of their daughter, Mrs. Thomas Murphy, and family. Miss Genevieve Knox spent a few days last week as the guest of Mrs. Margaret RHSmussen in Chicago and helped her celebrate her birthday. Miss Maud Granger was a weekend visitor in the home of her sister, Mrs. Harry Alexander, in Hebron. Mrs. Helen Heuser was in Chicago Wednesday evening to attend eighth grade graduation exercises at the Alexander Hamilton grade school, her granddaughter, Carol Heuser, daughter of the Henry Heusers, being a member of the class. Carol was the lucky winner of the American Legion award. Mrs. Ray Reutell and son, Richard, of Chicago were visitors in the Carl Weber home Thursday. Carol Wilson of Chicago was a McHenry visitor over the weekend. Sunday visitors in the home of Mrs. Eleanor Foley were Mr. and Mrs. James Mahoney of Chicago and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Phalin of Waukegan. Edward Dwyer of Chicago was a weekend visitor in the home of his sister, Mrs. Walter Walsh. Saturday evening guests were her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Kimmel of Elgin. Mrs. Frank Justen of Chowchilla, Calif., has been spending several days with McHenry relatives. Joan Adams of Chicago spent the weekend with home folks. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Purvey, accompanied by Mrs. Robert Burleigh of Ingleside and Mrs. Frank Riley of Woodstock, called 'on Harvard relatives Sunday. Mrs. Velma Douglas spent the past week in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Miranti, and family in Murpheysboro. Mr. and Mrs. Lisle Bassett motored to New Your City last week to meet their daughter, Mrs. Ilene Weidemann, who arrived by boat from Vaihigan, Germany, for a visit with her parents, after an absence of almost three years. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Bassett and little daughter of Chicago were Sunday visitors in the Bassett home. Mrs. A. P. Freund accompanied by her son. Del, of Wauconda, and granddaughters. Peggy Herman, Debbie Smith and Alice Brown, motored to Greendale, Wis., Sunday, where they picked up her sister, Sister Jeremia, who had been teaching there the past year. They then went on to Carr.pbellsport. Wis., to visit two other sisters, Sister Ildefons and Sister Arcadia. Sister Jeremia remained for a several weeks stay in Campbellsport. *>Mrs. George Steilen, Mrs. Andrew Butler and Mrs. F. J. Aicher attended a dinner and shower in Chicago, Friday, honoring Miss Joan Johnson, whose marriage to James Bickler, son of the Roy Bicklers of DesPlaines, will take place Aug. 3. Miss Clara Miller was a guest in the home of Mrs. Ida Quinlan in Park Ridge the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pepping and children of Glenview were weekend guests in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert EngtTaffl. They attended a reunion of Mrs. Pepping's class and also the Art Fair, where she had exhibited some of her paintings, while here. John J. Bolger of Harrisburg. Pa., was, a weekend guest in the home of his mother, Mrs. John Bolger, and attended a reunion of his class held Saturday evening. Mrs. Earl Highland of Rock ford is spending several days with her sister, Mrs. Bolger. Mr. and Mrs. James Wagner of Milton, Wis., called on relatives here Sunday and also visited her brother, Joseph Simon, in the McHenry hospital where he is recovering from surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pavlick and children of Waukegan called on McHenry relative* Sunday. Mrs. Emil Norgaard of Western Springs spent three days the past week in the Herbert Engdahl home.
