Oldest Residents Around 1922 Marie Moe became a property owner and a summer resident in Lily Lake (now known to all of us as Lakenioor) She enjoyed her summers out here, then she became a year round resident in 1940. Like Genny Sundt who has been a resident for the past twenty-three years Marie has seen the community grow. They have also seen many of the children grow up, get married and become pfirents themselves. Mane will celebrate her ninety-first birthday, Oct. 12, with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Schubert, who who hove been residents of Lakemoor for the past two years. Personal Injury Suit In a personal injury damage suit transferred from Lake to McHenry county, Cyrus Green asks $30,000 judgement from Dale Bares of Island Lake. The suit results from an accident on Rt. 120, near Chapel Hill road, in March of last year in which the plaintiff alleges he was in jured. Leaving Chicago on Aug. 10 by plane she ^ arrived in Gothenburg, Sweden, the following morning. She toured through the country. through beautiful forests and lakes, visiting several cities enroute to Stockholm. The food and the traditional smorgosbord were all so tempting, it isn't possible to count calories. In Stockholm she met cousins she had never met before, visiting them in their homes. Needless to say it was a happy meeting and a sad goodbye when she left Stockholm. Next on the itinerary was Copenhagen, Denmark - this city is filled with tradition and beautiful buildings - and Danish pastry "out brated on Sept. 21, and to Kay and Mel Stephenson on Sept. 23. She arrived back in New York on Sept. 8 with one resolution in mind - to return to the wonderful Scandinavian countries. It was good to get back home though! Daisy Smith spent three days in Chicago attending meetings and dinners observing the twenty-fifth anniversary of the N a t i o n a l F e d e r a t i o n o f Women's Club. Women from all over the country were present and on Wednesday night husbands were invited to join their wives at a Republican dinner and John and Daisy met Senators Goldwater and Dirksen.
