P»g» Twenty THE McHENRY PLAINDEALEH Thursday. October 24.1963 Wandai Lah* . : STUDENTS GIVE TWO PLAYS AT KABRISON SCHOOL Mrnry Lou iiartif - . On. Friday night, Oct. 25, the seventh grade of Harrison School will present two plays for your entertainment. The young lady who gave me the news item also gave me a brief resume of the plays which I pass on to you so you can see for yourself that they will be well worth your time. Play No. 1 -- entitled "Dorothy Dumb - Census Taker." -- Dorothy Dumb, Census Taker's . good intentions bring surprising happenings when she attempts to enumerate the occupants of a rooming house. , Way entitled "Shock ofTtTB Life" -- If you knew this were your last hour on earth, what would you do? Would you call your family about you? Would you wait quietly for the final moment? Papa jftaxwell has this choice to-make. The thought of last moments had never entered his mind when he pulled out for the doc's office, intent on taking his yearly check-up. He was a -perfect specimen of majthood, he knew, complete with muscles and happy corpuscles (don't question me -- I'm just copying it as it was given to met, and all thnt goes to jnajte up the regalia of an unfrustrated organism, (question: what is an unfrustrated organism?) Well, the doc told Pop he'd phone home his findings later that evening. First comes a message from the market saying that its present supply of heart is about gone. Son, Wilbur, writes that down. Then the call from the doc comes saying he'd stop by at about 7:30. And finally the school doctor phones saying Betty Lou's cough, which has been flirting with something bad (???) should be over by 7:45" -- Unquote. I was about to ask ano{)ier question but I think I'll just forpet it. Anyway it promises to be hilarious so why not go and see for yourself and then you come back and answer my questions. The Institute for Safer Living emphasizes that modern construction methods and non-combustible building materials cannot entirely eliminate fire hazards.
