The Donald Freund, Richard Frett and Marvin Rooney families of Crystal Lake were Sunday dinner guests in the home of Mrs. A. P .Freund. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Goll of Harvard called on Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Winkelman Friday. They left Monday to spend the holidays with their daughter, Mrs. James Winkelman, and family in New York City. Welcome back to MeHenry are old time local residents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schoewer, who have been making their home in Waukegan for several years. They moved 10 the Country Club Estates,, south of this city, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Laures of Northbrook called on McHenry relatives Sunday. James Wiater, a student at St. Collete's school in Jefferson, Wis., Was an overnight guest of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Althoff, before leaving, Monday, to spend the holidays with his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Wiater, in Rolling Hills, Calif. Mrs. Pearl Patzke was a weekend guest in the home of her son, Ralph Patzke, and family in Champaign. •Mr. and Mrs. Lisle Bassett attended the christening of their little granddaughter, Lisa Ruth, at the Ravenswood Presbyterian church, Sunday, with Mr. and Mrs. Larry Thomas of McHenry serving as sponand holster set. The Laverne Lockwood family of Lake Geneva, Wis., were Saturday afternoon and supper guests in the Howard Lockwood home. Mr. and Mrs. William Neumann and children returned Thursday morning of last week from a ten day visit with Mrs. Neumann's sister, Mrs. Thomas Murphy, and family in Charleston, S. C. Enroute fchey took in the sights at Washington, D. C., and visited President Kennedy's grave in Arlington cemetery. St. Mary's Court 594 of the COF held its annual party for <he Juveniles at Legion hall Sunday evening with approximately 200 in attendance. Games were played, lunch served, singing enjoyed and Santa called to present each one with a gift. The Northern Illinois Association of the Catholic Order of Foresters held a bowling party at Crystal Lake Sunday afternoon with twenty-eight teams entered. Mrs. Robert Wissell returned home Wednesday of last week from Sherman hospital, Elgin, where she was a patient for several days and underwent major surgery. She is recovering nicely at her home on Rt. 31 south of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Anderson have returned from a two week trip to Colorado where they visited with the former's brother, Albin, and family at Grand Junction. Their son, Ronnie, a student at Regis college in Denver, returned home with them for the Christmas holidays. The Tynwald, the governing body of the Isle of Man has operated for over 1100 years. Smith of Woodstock, an investment Counselor. Mr. Smith's comments and explanation covering the various types of investments was both informative and interesting, reflected in the generous applause received at the close of the program. Rev. Jack Mclntyre and Jack Kelsey, co chairmen of our club to Club International program, along with our neighboring club of Crystal Lake, which is teamed with us in corresponding with the Rotary club of Propia, Sergipe, Brazil, are concerned with the language barried and would appreciate receiving some help. If you know of any one who can either read or write Portugese, have them contact Rev. Jack Mclntyre, 385-3454, or Jack Kelsey, 385-1595.
