She was taken ill the previous day and removed to Chicago from McHenry hospital. Mrs. Miller, who made her home at 3816 W. John street; was 75 years of age. She was born July 6, 1868, in Spring Grove. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Altar and Rosary sodality of St. Patrick's Catholic church, the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters and the Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a member of tlie American Legion auxiliary. SRie had been active until the day prior to her death, and was looking forward to attending a Christmas party later in the week. Her hobbies included braiding rugs and in sewing. Mrs. Miller's husband preceded her in death. She is survived by eight children, Mrs. Jacob (Tillie) Stoffel of Pistakee Highlands, Nick P. of McHenry Mrs. Clara Hermance of Richmond, Charles J., Jerome M., Eugene J., Mrs. Carl (Mary Ann) Neuman and Robert, all of McHenry. A son, William, preceded her in death. The body will rest at the George R. Justen & Son funeral homd. Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church with burial in church cemetery. ALFRED GEORGE HITTER, JR. Alfred George Ritter, Jr., 11, Son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred George Ritter, Sr., of 1205 N. Clover Lane, Eastwood Manor, died Tuesday night, Dec. 17, at McHenry hospital where he had been a patient about four hours. The young boy had been released that morning from Children's Memorial hospital in Chicago to spend the holidays with his family. Shortlyafter arriving home he suffered a bad spell and was rushed to the hospital. He had been ill for about 5 years. Alfred was born May 8, 1952, in Oak Park and has lived in this area for about 7 years. Before coming to Mc Henry he lived in Elmwood Park. Besides his parents he is survived by & brother, Jack Stephen, 9; a sister, Lisa Marie, 2; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Theis of Rogers Park; and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Anna S. Ritter, Elmwood Park. The body is at rest at the Peter M Justen and Son Funeral home until Friday when services will be held at the Zion Lutheran church at 1 p.m. with Rev. Carl A. Lobitz officiating. Interment will be in Woodland cemetery. FRED DITERKOP Fred Duerkop,88, of Des- Plaines, died Tuesday, Dec. 17. He is survived by four daughters and three sons, including Mrs. Vaughn Jones of McHenry. Beaman, 25, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel T. Beaman, Ringwood, was awarded the Good Conduct medal Nov. 28 while serving with the 1st Armored division at Fort Hood. Tex. Specialist Beaman was awarded the medal for exemplary conduct, efficiency and fidelity as a soldier in active service. He is a truck driver in Headquarter Troop, lift squadron of tne division's 1st Cavalry. JEAN BOOSTER Mrs. Jean Booster, 310 N. Willow road, Lakemoor, died in Resurrection hospital, Chicago, Monday, Dec. 16, following a short illness. Mrs. Booster, 45, was born in Chicago Sept. 9, 1918, and had lived here since 1947. She is survived by her husband, Larry; two children, Kenneth of Valparaiso university and Carol at home; two brothers, Michael Liesik of Detroit, Mich., and Alex Liesik of Prospect Heights, 111. Mrs. Booster was a member of Zion Lutheran church. The body rests at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home until 11 o'clock Ttursday, when it will be removed to the church for services at 1 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Carl Lobitz. Burial will be in Rand Hill cemetery. Airman Jack Yegge arrived Friday afternoon at O'Hare field from Jacksonville, Fla., where he had been on a special assignment from his duties at the Naval Air force base at Argentia, Newfoundland. He will spend the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Yegge, after which he will return to Argentia to finish his enlistment period in July, 1964. Bacon of 3804 Main St., McHenry, is serving with Headquarters and Maintenance Squadron 13, Marine Corps Air station, Keneohe Bay, Hawaii.
