The Holid*/ Hills PRACTICE GOOD WILL TOWARD MEN IN COMING YEAR iocs Today With the most 'wonder' full day of tlie year just behind us and the time of the year when everyone has a sincere feeling of 'good will' toward their fellow man, let us all try very hard to continue this attitude to all we know and meet in our daily lives. The laqk ot this feeling of "peace en earth and good will toward men" was so recently made very real to us with the Dallas incident. The effort must start at home. Let's start here in Holiday Hills and resolve to carry that 'good' feeling we have at Christmas right thru the New Year and may each and everyone of you enjoy a safe New Years Eve and 366 days of good health and prosperity to follow? Christmas Pack Meeting Tomorrow evening, Friday, Dec. 27, at 7:30 p.m. the Cub Scouts of Holiday Hills will hold their Christmas pack meeting at the home of Marge and Jack Connell. Correction Order We wish to correct the report earlier this month that Dan Davidson is a student of Carthage College, Kenosha. Presently Dan works mornings in Chicago and attends the YWCA Junior College in the afternoon. Our apologies to the Davidson family. In the column two weeks ago there appeared a rather obvious printing error when it was reported the Benoche family died instead of dined at the Ray Harden home, Wonder Lake in celebration of Ray's birthday. Jean tells me that she has received many condolences including a sympathy card to . 50 cent grab bag gift to the meeting. Sympathy To Our Mailman Words cannot express the sorrow in the hearts of our residents for our dear mailman, Mr. Booster, who has made himself a pleasant, personal and vital part - of our everyday life here in Holiday Hills. Because of his great sorrow in the loss of his beloved the Benoche dog as the only surviving member from none other than the Hansen family themselves. There are often mistakes made in either the typing or the printing of a paper but very few strike the funny side as this. Naturally we are sorry it happened but know you understand. Seasons greetings to all - take care and we'll see you here again next year. wife, Jean, our sincere sympathy and prayers go with him, his son and daughter in this, their hour of grief. We pray the Lord will give them the strength and courage so needed now. With all the 'extra' care he gives us, there seems to be very little wc can do, except to let him know we care. Cub Scouts Commended A letter of commendation for the Cub Scouts from Midge Teuber's Den was received from the Gross Point Manor, a nursing and convalescent home in Niles, 111. The boys were praised for their efforts in making the day a happier one' for the residents of the home by making holiday tray favors. In so doing the boys have learned a good lesson in life--That you receive so much good for yourself by doing for others. To make it even nicer for the boys, one of the residents of the home is\Walter Schweik, Marge Connell's Dad, and Grandfather to Gary Connell who is in the troop. Orchids Orchids to the dance committee for the Jingle Bell Jump who did a really fine job and so that the Property Owners Association could realize a profit and the residents could have a good time. The committee members were Roy Lundelius, chairman, and Dick Behrens, Jackie Bodenheier, Bill Manon, Joan Schroeder, Gloria Smith Midge and Don Teuber. Jack Bodenheim gets credit for doing all the posters. Entertain At Christmas Party Six youngsters from Holiday Hills and one from Island Lake helped Santa Claus out at the V.F.W.
