Gerry Ernst celebrated her birthday on Dec. 21 with a 1 trip to an ice show and a dinner also in Dundee. And young Gregory Ernst celebrated the momentous occasion of his "first" birthday on Dec. 27. Gregory stayed home for his celebration but his Godparents, Betty and Bob Hackbarth, and other relatives and friends were there to help him celebrate. Jimmy Verstege was christened Sunday at St. Mary's church in McHenry. Ronnie's ?ce, Janet, acted as God- : >ther and Beverly's brother, Larry, was Godfather. Mrs. Lillian Sviontek, Jack and Beverly Verstfege and daughter, Janet and Grandma and Grandpa Verstege helped make the day a big success. „ Birthday Greetings Many happy returns of the day to Karen Lindwall on Dec. 27, Francis 'Buzzy' Santilli and James Burke and Monica Haley on Dec. 31. Raymond Olszewski and Ingaborg Corcoran will bring in the New Year on Jan. 1, 1964. Best wishes to all. Sorry ( Our apologies to all who went to the wrong school to vote on Dec. 14. It seems Herb Clausen was given the wrong information and I passed it on to you. Garden Club News On Friday, Dec. 20, the Garden Club had a Christmas party visit to the school for retarded children. The teachers were giving the party and Mrs. Betty Fiala, who is chairman for the Garden club's fruit and guild project took stockings for each child. They were served cup cakes and soft drinks. Note: Sorry to be so stingy this week but with all the activities going on people just don't have time for calling in the news and I guess I just don't get the time to call either. After the holidays I want to know who was home over Christmas, and who went away, and all the things that you don't have time to tell me about now. Don't forget now -1 want at least a half a page of W.L. doings for the next issue. By the way next week's deadline is Friday too - Dec. 27, but I'm not expecting too much that day either. It's the next week that I'm going to be after all of you to give with the news. Bye and happy holidays to all of you. What if all of your dreams don't come true?7 Neither do your nightmares! Stars in the Eyes All the stars aren't in the sky these days. There are a few in the eyes of Joyce Motulewicz since last week.
