WANDA TONYAN KAREN LINDWALL Miss Lindwall Plans June Wedding Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lindwall of McHenry Shores announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Gerda, to Mr. Frank Edward Colomer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Colomer .of Sunnyside. Karen and Frank were honored at an open house party on Jan. 1, attended by the family and many friends. Miss Lindwall graduated from McHenry high school in June of 1962 and attended Northern Illinois university. She is presently employed in DesPlaines. Her fiance graduated in'1958 from the local high school\He served in the Navy fromfriat year to 1961 and is now employed in McHenry. Miss Mahoney is attending Northern Illinois university* at DeKalb, and Mr. Hettermann |s a junior draftsman in the engineering department of a Crystal Lake firm. St. Patrick's Mothers Club Meets January 15 ^ The next meeting of St. Patrick's Mothers club will be held in the church hall on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 3 p.m. Instead of the regular Tuesday jneeting,. Father Parker will conduct a tour of the sacristy and explain the h various Mass vestments and the altar vessels. There will be baby sitters in the school hall for the convenience of mothers with preschool children. Refreshments will be served by the fifth grade mother^following the meeting. Miss Tonyan Plans Wedding In June Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Tonyan of Ringwood announce the engagement of their daughter, Wanda, to Wesley C. Bruce, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton O. Bruce of Ringwood. Miss Tonyan is a senior in the McHenry high school. Her fiance is a 1959 MCHS graduate and is employed in Crystal Lake. Christen Daughter Of Robert Millers The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Miller of Barreville road, McHenry, was baptized "Kerry Jean, Sunday, at St. Patrick's church by Rev. Fr. Eugene Parker. Acting as sponsors were Mrs. Jeanne Saelens of St. Charles and Le- Roy Conway. Entertained at an evening dinner at. the Miller home were Mr. and Mrs. "LeRpy Conway; Mr. and Mrs. Saelens, Steve, Diane, David, Peggy and Eileen of St. Charles; the paternal grandmother, Mrs. (Eleanor Miller, and daughter, \Mary; and the paternal srandpar&nts, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Freund. The baby's sisters and brothers, Barbara, Jane, Colleen, Doreen, Brian and Kevin, were also present to honor their new sister. St. John The Bap^st Catholic church" was the setting for a beautiful winter wedding last Saturday, Jan. 4, when Miss -Clarene Freund became the bride of Mr. Robert L. Peisert. Miss Freund is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred P. Freund of 3817 N. Spring Grove road and Mr. Peisert is the son of Mr. and Mrs., Edward Peisert of River Terrace. Rev. Fr* A. Weideman officiated at the 11 o'clock double ring wedding ceremony, for which the children's chojir sang. The high altars were decorated with bouquets of deep blue and white mums and gladioli, and the bride placed a bouquet of white mums on the altar of the Blessed Virgin. Pretty, blonde Miss Freund wore a floor length, gown of ehantilly' lace over bridal taffeta, featuring a bodice decorated with an oval, scalloped neckline, and long, tapered sleeves. Her botiffant skirt had a scalloped edge extending into a chapel sweep. A double crown of pearls and aurora borealis held in place an imported illusion veil, and she carried a bouquet of white roses, stephanotis and ivy to which white ribbon streamers were attached. Junilla Schaft of Waukegjan, sister of the bride, acted as maid of honor and bridesmaids vfrere Mrs. Janice Pieroni of McHenry, a friend,, Mrs. Marilyn Freund, her sisterin- law, and Miss Linda Blake; niece of the groom. They were attired similarly in sapphire blue satin, street length sheath gowns with basque waists, three-quarter length sleeves and sabrina necklines. Detachable floor length over-skirts featured wide waistbands and large bows lending back interest. Their headpieces were of matching color and held blush er veils. The young ladies carried bouquets of white and blue mums. Mary Jean Pieroni of McHenry was the miniature bride, Wearing attire identical to the bride. Gerald H. Freund, brother of the bride, served the groom as best man and groomsmen were Edward Buss, a friend, Stanley John Freund, brother of the bride, and ~Robert P. Freund, a friend. Ushers were Norman R. Freund. a brother, and Robert Schaft of Waukegan. the bride's brother-in-law. The couple left for Miami, Fla., for a two-week honeymoon trip. When they return they will make their home in the Peisert residence on River Terrace and the groom's parents will move to Chicago. Both the bride and groom are graduates of McHenry high school. He is employed as a ceramic tile fitter in Chicago. Young *1-^-64 Ringwood Man Claims Bride Bouquets of blue and white carnations and chrysanthemums decorated (the altar- at Christ the King/ church last Saturday when / Ann Shirley Arendt of Hebron and Gerald Gaylord of Ringwood were married at 11 :.'*() a.m. Mass. The bride was loveiy in a gown of white satin, with a chapel train, featuring,, lace bodice and long pointed sleeves. Her lace edged fingertip*5 veil was held in place by a rhinestone Crown. Her only jewelry was a single strand of pearls. She carrtejl a cascade bouquet of white carnations. Shirley Gaylord; sister of the groom, was maid of honor. Junior bridesmaid was Bobbi Arendt, sister of the --bridr-.- Both girls were attired in street length dresses of regal blue brocade, with short sleeves and bell skirts, and had regal blue shoes and hats to match. They Carried colonial bouquets of blue and white carnations and blue and white net. Rev. James A. Vanderpool officiated at the ceremony. A reception was held immediately following the Ceremony in the school hall, attended by 125 guests. The bride is the daughter of I Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Colnruin of Hebron and the groom is McHENRY AREA WOMEN AMONQ FASHJON MODELS A number of models have been selected for the fashion show of spring and summer styles, to be held in connection with the annual McHenry County United Cerebral Palsy drive kick-off dinner on Jan. 11 at ' Martinetti's, Crystal Lake. Mrs. John Boehm of McHenry is director for the county. Local models include Dorothy ' Miller and Jerry Boehm of McHenry and ,Van Sells of Wonder Lake. Commentary for the show will be -given by Mrs. Eve Levesque of McCullom Lake. Theme of the revue will be "Around the World in Twenty Ways," and will feature,such .i.t.ems as casual dresses, bathing suits, slacks and , other accessory items necessary to complete the picture. The new Mrs. Gaylord attended Allien- Hebron high school, while her husband attended Richmond- Burton high school. After their honeymoon, the young couple plan to reside in Woodstock. Nancy McNulty Wed In Methodist Church Miss .Nancy Ann McNufiy" of Burton's Bridge became the bride of Mr. James A. Potter of Crystal Lake in a lovely wedding ceremony performed at 2 o'clock-Saturday, Jan. 4, in the Community Methodist church of McHenry by Rev. Ernest Carder. Miss McNulty and Mr. Potter were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hart of Harvard.
