Roses At The Fair ; Herb, Mary, and Donny -Rose attended the Science Fair in Chicago at the Museum of Science and Industry, on March 22. The 252 competing exhibits (mostly mass projects by Junior High and Senior High Students) in the areas of math, physics, chemistry, and biology, provided an extremely interesting day for the Roses. It was bard to pull Donny away, Herb reports. The "Determination of Crystal Structure By X-ray detraction", a physics exhibit l>y Kenneth Kanurl of Von Steulgen High School, won -first place. Of special interest to Herb were the math exhibits involving the factoring of numbers. 60,000 attended the fair on this last day, a battle of the bulge. California Vacationers Charles Stilling and his sister, Julia, recently returned from California where they visited the Jerome Stilling family in La Puenti. While there they spent sometime with relatives and friends in Santa Ana and Ontebello. They made the trip by train which proved most enjoyable for both. Infant Baptized The newest member of the Richard Dehrt family was baptized Susan Marie at a service performed earlier this week at St. John's church. The fifth child in the Dehn family had as her sponsors, Mrs. Pam Hiller, a friend, and Jim Hettermann, an uncle. Following the service, supper was served to the godparents and their families, the Art Kattner family, the maternal grandfather, Bill May, and Richard May, another uncle. Prospect, Ron Smith, son of Walter and Millie, resumed his studies at Northwestern University last week. Ron will graduate from there in June. Easter Doings Mos& of our young college students have either returned to their respective schools or will very shortly. -We wish good luck in the last part of their semester. The Gerry Hettermann home was aburst with relatives last Sunday. Gerry and Mary entertained the entire .Hettermann clan for Easter. Bill May and Richard Dehn drove to Chicago in all that bad weather last Sunday to take Harold May to catch a train for Missouri. The home of Pat and Mary Hiller was a happy one on Easter. They had the entire family with them for dinner. Father Passes On Our whole community joins in extending their sincere sympathies to Peter Peterson, his wife. Marge, and their three children, Bill, Peggy, and. David. Peter lost his. father last week. Mr. Peterson had been a patient in the McHenry hospital for over three weeks and passed away there last Thursday morning. He Was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, on January 18, 1964. It is very hard to ease the pain that Pete and his f&itiily feel losing two of their loved ones so close together. Juvenile Forester Notes A reminder to all members of juvenile court of St. Agatha's No. 777 -- on April 12, installation of officers and initiation of .new members will be held. The meeting will start out with the serving of supper at 5 o'clock in the community club hall. The meeting will be brought to a close at 7:30. Please keep this date in mind.
