Doyle of Chicago were married at 12 noon at Christ the King church on Monday, March 30. The groom is the son of Mrs. Elsie Doyle of Chicago. Escorted down the aisle by her father, the bride wore a chantilly lace over taffeta sheath dress, with demure neckline, fitted bodice, bracelet length sleeves and a detach able taffeta peau-de-soie bouffant skirt. Her silk illusion, two-tiered bouffant veil fell from an imported Swiss braid crown highlighted with aurora borealis crystals. She carried a colonial style bouquet of white roses and nylon net. For her honeymoon corsage, Sharon chose pink sweetheart roses. Assisting as matron of honor was the bride's sister, Mrs. Barbara Fiala, who wore a silk and lace aqua sheath with matching veil and pearl jewelry. RUMMAGE-BAKE SALE A rummage and bake sale sponsored by the Council of Catholic Women for the benefit of the Newman Center at Northern Illinois university at De- Kalb, will be held April 9, 10 and 11 at Blake's garage on Pearl street. The sale will include new and used articles, homemade bakery goods and home canned foods. The hours will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Due to inclement weather, the egg hunt sponsored by VFW Post 4600 was held indoors Easter Sunday. Over 300 eggs were colored by the women's auxiliary and buried in the tubs of grass. Cash prizes were given to children fortunate enough to pick the marked eggs. Over ninety children participated in the event, including the two pictured above, who were not identified. FEDERATION OF WOMEN'S CLUBS PLAN MEETING ART SHOW TO FEATURE MANY FINE EXHIBITS Oils, watercolor, ceramics, carvings, drawings and weaving will be exhibited at the McHenry County Town and Country Art show on April 3 and 4. The show, which is sponsored by the McHenry County Cooperative Extension Service, will be held in the auditorium of the Farm Bureau building in Woodstock. Mrs. Genevieve Hughes, assistant home adviser, reports that all entries are due by March 27. The exhibit is open to high school students and adults. Professor Wm. Hazard of Northern Illinois university will serve as jurist for the show. An educational critique will be held by the jurist. Items will be selected for display at a district art exhibition. A representative number will be selected from the district show to appear in an exhibit at the University of Illinois architecture building Oct. 17 through 31. Duenow, who will review the book, "When The Cheering Stopped," by Gene Smith. Herbert Duenau is the originator of the dramatic technique in literary presentation. He possesses a rare combination of talents and a master of dialect which has made him one of the nation's leading book reviewers.
