The garments will show the use of cotton, blends, silks and wooL Some will be enhanced with the use of mink. There will be a musical interlude. Bride Honored At Showers Miss Lynn Sturdy of Woodstock, who last Saturday became the bride of Harold King of McCullom Lake, was honored at two pre-nuptial showers. It was a complete surprise for the new bride and the hostesses were Joan Marke, Ann Sullivan and Mary Jane Gillis. The McHenry County Panhellenic group will hold its annual tea for graduating senior girls from the McHenry area on Monday, April 13, at the home of Mrs. John Johnson. 4201 W. Ponca in Cooney Heights. The tea is held to familiarize prospective rushees with rushing procedures and proper dress for rush parties. Representatives from many of the national sororities will be present to talk with the girls and literature from their sororities will be available for reading. All graduating senior girls from the McHenry area who plan to attend colleges which have national sororities on campus are invited to attend the tea. The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore identical gowns of ice-blue taffeta ( sheaths, with floor length detachable overskirts trimmed with a bow in back. Matching blusher veils were held in place by blue taffeta flat bows. Each girl wore a pair of pearl earrings and a single strand of pearls which were gifts of the bride. | Bridesmaids bouquets were colonial style of white carnations with ice-blue net and ribbons. She carried a lace basket of red rose petals. Serving the groom as best man was Robert Oxtoby, uncle of the bride. Groomsmen were David Wuttke of Pell Lake. Mrs. Thomas wore a powder blue and white lace sheath dress with a lght blue flowered pillbox hat. Mrs. Riedel's dress was a sheath of light and dark green figured silk and she wore a beige straw hat. Both mothers wore corsages of white carnations and pink roses. The bride is a graduate of Richmond-Burton high school in Richmond and is employed at the Stafe bank in Fox Lake. The groom is employed by the National Tea Co., in Fox Lake. They will live at 59 Hickory drive, Fox Lake. INSTALL McHENRY WOMAN COUNCIL PTA HEAD MAY 21 Stanley Blumberg, president of the McHenry County Council of P.T.A., has announced that the new officers for the year 1964-65 were elected at a meeting of the Council which was held at the Spring Grove grade school recently. Mrs. John L. Boehm of McHenry will serve the group as president for the coming year, with an able assist from Mrs. Lorraine Kerschke of Harvard as vice-president. The secretary's position will be ably handled by Mrs. Frances Kirchhoff of Harvard and the treasurer's position goes to Leonard Buresh of Fox River Grove. They were dressed in peacock blue peau de soie, long sheaths with tie on overskirts. They wore matching pill box hats and veils, matching mitts and shoes and carried white carnations. The groom was attended by Eugene Blake as best man and Wesley Bruce of Ringwood, Tom King, the groom's brother, and David Sturdy, the bride's brother, were groomsmen.
