Attending from the Terrace were Steve and Jim Phillips and Scott Wiggerman. Steve's team received a third place trophy award and Jim and Scott each received individual team trophies. Terrace Tidings Jeanniejo Henoche, Junior at McHenry high school, will be participating in the May 1 and 2 mock political convention being held at Marian Central. Jeanniejo will be state chairman of the delegation from Virginia. COOKS CORNER By Marie Sehaettgen Do you still have some of that Easter ham left over? If you do, you might enjoy it in this way if you've exhausted all other methods of using it. Why doesn't some one develop a strain of hogs with smaller hams for smaller families? Ham with escalloped potatoes. Allowing one raw potato for each person to be served, slice thinly into well buttered casserole. Add thin slices of leftover ham. Add seasoning (salt and pepper), dot with small bits of butter, sift a very little flour over top. Do not stir. Repeat until casserole is filled to within one inch of top. Pour milk over all until just barely comes to top of potatoes. Bake in 325 degree oven until pqfatoes are done but not long enough to become soft or "mushy". Check oven frequently to make sure milk does not boil over.
