May 13 at the Home of Barbara Zamastil. It is hoped that the women can begin on a project to raise funds for recoating of May Avenue and possibly make plans for fuiuro fund raising affairs to cover cost of additional road surfacing in iho subdivision. Cub Scoots Terrace representatives at the Cub Scout Father and Son basketball game held in April were Scott Wiggerman, Scotty Stull, Steve Phillips, and Jim Phillips and their fathers, Marvin . Phillips and Ron Wiggerman. On Saturday Den 4 of Cub Scout troop 452 enjoyed a wiener roast at the home of their Den Mother, Marilyn Wiggerman, in place of their weekly meeting. A1 o'n g with the lunch the boys enjoyed a baseball game. Steve and Jim Phillips were forced to miss the special day since Jim had the misfortune to break out with the German measles. Attending with the . Cub Scouts of Den 4 were the families of both Den Mothers, the Wiggermans and the Stulls. Bowling Season Conies To Close With the end of another bowling season the bowling banquet for the Tuesday night Business Men's League was held on Tuesday evening at a Fox Lake hotel for bowlers and wives. Bowlers from the Terrace present were Bill Stahlman, Jerry Kern, Pat Flood, Vern Mondl, Bob Froehling, Roy Erickson, Jerry Connerty and Cal Vyduna. "r- Cancer Drive Successful With the close of the Cancer Drive on Sunday, April 26, Barbara Zamastil, chairman for our area, was pleased to turn in more than $60 to the Cancer Fund headquarters. Along with our congratulations to Barb for a job well done goes a note of appreciation from the chairman to her workers, Joyce Toepper, Birdie Deppmeier, Carrie Jourdan, Marty Pritchard, Arlene Connerty as well as Ellen Hayes, Riverdale and Dolores Taylor, Oeffling's. Terrace Tidings Marcia, Val and Ricky Patula accompanied Val's parents from Fox Lake and a South Chicago couple to Stevens Point, Wis., for a weekend of visiting relatives and friends. Saturday overnight guests at the Robert Rabb home were Marion's sister, Mrs. Emily Witek, and Judy from Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Barkowski, Oeffling subdivision, were dinner guests of George and Wilma Stader on Wednesday evening. Debbie and Cindy Stull participated in the annual piano recital held at the Johnsburg community hall on Wednesday evening. Joining in on a welcome home party for Jean's brother, Pete Gerali and family at the Benoche home on Saturdaywere A1 and Lucille Gerali, Henry and Marge Gerali, Ruth and Andy Stopar. and Evelyn and Jim Caccavari and families, all of Chicago. Pete, Ruth and children left the Chicago area l'or Las Vegas in October, ol' 1961 and are returning to Chicago having completed the job in Las Veccas. The Jim Deppmeiers, Don Hawkins, and Bob Froehlings enjoyed a Saturday evening on the town. Rusell Parker competed with other milk drivers of his company in an egg selling contest at Easter time. Russ topped them all and as a resiilt Dorothy and he were treated to dinner followed by nightclubing in Waukegan on Saturday evening by Ray and Pearl Alderman, Jr. Visiting in the Mickey Ferrell home on Saturday were his parents, Walter and Emily Ferrell, his aunt and cousin. Hazel and Carol Blanche, as well as Pat's father, Gus Trampas, grandmother Trampas and Pat's sister, Mary. A hearty welcome to a newcomer to the Terrace. Don Hawkin's sister, Bonnie, moved in with the family on Monday. Bonnie, an airline hostess, is stationed in Chicago. Joyce Toepper and sons accompanied Mr. and Mrs. G. J. Nelson of Salem, Wis., for a fish fry at the Methodist church in Wilmot, Wis. on Friday evening. Birthday Celebrations Mickey Jourdan reached the ripe old age of six on Friday, April 24. Guests in the Jourdan home after school on Friday to help him celebrate were .Pete Kasperski. Sunnyside, Mike Pritchard, Son.ja and Pepe Treptau and his sister, Debby Jourdan. Stopping in later in the evening with birthday wishes were his aunts, uncles and grandoarents. Another Friday birthday celebration took place in the Parker home as Barbara became a teen. Guests included Barb Bain, Pistakee Highlands, Doreen Patterson, Sunnyside, Maggie Moore and Phillis Dodd. Cindy Stull celebrated her eighth birthday on April 27. Helping her make the most of Holiday Hills HONOR CHILDREN ON FIRST HOLY COMMUNION DAY Inez. Young A recent Sunday will long be remembered by several young people in Holiday Hills as a day when they took a very important step in their lives. On April 26, Ricky Audino. Mary Kaye Catanzaro and Debby Ann Mahon received their First Holy Communion from Father Parker at St. Patrick's Catholic church in McHenry. Catanzaro In celebration of the big day, the Catanzaro family gathered for dinner with -Mary Kay's grandparents, the Sr. Joseph Catanzaros, and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Parker, aunts and I uncles, Jerry, Tom and Betty Ann Parker, Chuck, Bea and Barbara Ann Catanzaro and her. Godmother Marlene Matz and Gordon Matz. Mahon Deborah Ann Mahon was the guest of honor at a dinner for this important occasion.
