AUXILIARY CHURCH TOPIC A Bible lesson on the subject "God the Only Cause and Creator" will be heard at McHenry Christian Science services on Sunday at 10:30. It will contain many passages from the Bible acknowledging God's greatness as the source of all that is real and good. Included is this verse from Psalms (33.4): "The word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth." by Renee Jende The women's auxiliary to Fox RiVer 4600 held a joint installation with the post on Saturday, May 23. Daisy Smith did her usual fine job as mistress of ceremonies. The wonderful president of the "fabulous Fifth" district, Gwen Timm, was the auxiliary's installing officer. She was more than generous in' her praise of this auxiliary. The sincerity of her comments was obvious in her every word. To brag a little, Mrs. Timm said she was pleased to see such a hard working group -- a group that cooperates with one another to accomplish the many things that have been done. One person alone, cannot do all the things , that are on our busy agenda. A combined effort is needed and this is exactly what we bear in mind when working together on our many projects. The conductress, Jo Hansen, and her color team were complimented on the fine job done as their part of the installation procedure. Gen Bradley, president, who succeeded herself, thanked all her chairmen and all the women in the auxiliary who helped make this past year such a success. Gen's extemperaneous speech was so warm and from the heart, everyone felt proud to be a member of this auxiliary with this wonderful gal as our president. A delicious turkey dinner was served by the auxiliary following the installation. During the early part of the evening the Men of Brass entertained out of doors. During the past week some of the members of the auxiliary, Gen Bradley, Jean Wiles, Ethel Groth and Vi Abbink, visited Gert Barbian and presented her with her corsage from the installation. Gert was historian this past year and as most of you know, has not been able to attend meetings due to being confined to a wheelchair. Lil Doran will be the new historian and not Lorraine Lindeman as previously reported. Lorraine, I am sorry to say, is moving from this area.
