WALTER KEBBEB Walter and Lucy Kerber; 5504 North Lake street, Pistakee Highlands, will be celebrating their golden wedding anniversary, June 27, Walter and Lucy were born on the north side of Chicago and they first met at an eighth grade school party. Two years later they found themselves neighbors and their friendship was renewed. They were married In Chicago June 27, 1914. Bridesmaids were Walter's sisters, Helen and Viola, both deceased, and the best man was Lucy's brother the only survivor of the bridal party, Edwin Kleeman, who has lived in Whispering Hills for the past three years with his wife, Edna. After the wedding ceremony Walter and Lucy left for Niagra Falls on their honeymoon. The Kerbers have lived in Pistakee Highlands a little over ten years. Walter retired Jan. 1, 1957, after forty-three years of service with the City National Bank in Chicago. They both attend the Christian Science church in McHenry, where Lucy is an active worker. She has devoted the past twentyfive years to the public practice of Christian Science healing. Walter has been an active worker in Lake View Triangle Lodge, A.F. and A.M. of the Masons. When we really have a legitimate complaint they may not be so fast in answering the calls and no one could blame them.
