It is one visible way to say "I'm proud to be an American." Neighbor Dies It is with a heavy heart that I report the death of a dear neighbor, Charles Patz. Bom in Hungary on October 20, 1901, he married his beloved Elizabeth, nee Shaffer, on Jan. 28.. 1932. They moved to Holiday Hills five years ago arid built their home and planned their garden with retirement in mind. He had been ill for the past several months and died in McHenry hospital on Friday morning, June 26, where he had been for seven days following surgery. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Lundquist of the Community Congregational church in Island Lake, at Warner funeral home in Crystal Lake, with interment in Irving Park cemetery. RINGWOOD NEWS DELORES ^BRENNAN 653-2045 YOUNGSTERS PRODUCE HOME TALENT SHOW The Ringwood youngsters' party held at the White place on Barnard Mill road last Friday afternoon was a huge success. Happy birthday to Ricky Connell on July 3, and to Wally Foreman and Kenny Hallberg on July 4. complete with raised bleachers and a curtain. All music was by records. These kids did an excellent job on everything, and planned the entire program by themselves. It took some practice, but ask any of the adults who were present, and they will tell you it was more than worth it. I fore one was there. And a more entertaining afternoon. I can't remember. These youngsters furnished their own costumes, with the help of Mrs. Dolores White, who also fixed the girls' hair for the different numbers. Sr. Hi M.Y.F. Report On Sunday, June 28, four Overloaded cars full of Hebron M. Y. Fers joined us on a picnic at Berryland. We couldn't have picked a better day for swimming either. Though we were all in a picnic mood, we sort of lost part of our enthusiasm when we realized we had brought no charcoal for the burners. Fortunately, we were able to buy some. Our next problem arose when we found that no one out of all thirtyfive of us had brought a fork or spatula to turn the hot dogs or hamburgers. But all of us had a memswim and enjoyed meeting the Hebron M.Y.F. Next week we'll all meet at the church for another exciting meeting. A true life film will also be shown.
