Miss Audrey Alice Tonyan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Tonyan of 512 West Bay road, McHenry, became the* bride of Lieut. John Clarence Regner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Regner of 2713 North Regner road, McHenry, in a beautiful single ring ceremony solemnized at St. John the Baptist church, Johnsburg, last Saturday, June 27. Rev. Fr. John Grabowski of Chicago officiated at the 11:30 nuptial rite, for which the children's choir sang. The altars of St. John's church were decorated with bouquets of white flowers, with a touch of pink. The lovely bride wore a taffeta sheath, with detachable cathedral train, trimmed at the cuffs of the three quarter length sleeves, at the bottom of the skirt and cummerbund with tiny pearls and pearlized sequins. It was styled with sabrina neckline. Her headpiece was a circlet of tiny flowers with pearl centers sprinkled with pearls and aurora borrealis, and held a three-tier, elbow length veil, Miss Tonyan carried a shower line bouquet of phaleonopsis, orchids, stephanotis and ivy. Attending her were Mrs. Lawrence Kubiak of Wauconda. a college friend, as matron of honor, and Mrs. Frank O'Gorman of Algonquin and Miss Linda Regner of McHenry, sisters of the groom, as bridesmaids. They were pretty in floor length, pink nylon sheath dresses with floor length taffeta overskirts. The gowns were styled with three-quarter sleeves, sabrina necklines, the matron of honor in deeper pink color than the others. Their headpieces were crowns of pink elegance carnations and ivy and they carried shower line bouquets of the same flowers. David Davis of Los Angeles, Calif., a friend of the groom, served as best man and groomsmen were Robert Regner of McHenry, a brother, and James Tonyan of McHenry, the bride's brother. Ushers were Frank O - Gorman of Algonquin and Lawrence Kubiak of Wauconda. Mrs. Tonyan selected a turquoise blue silk dress with matching blue and white accessories. Beckenbaugh, brother of the bride, served as best man. Mrs. Beckenbaugh was attired in a pink silk dress with white hat and accessories and an orchid corsage. Mrs. Johnson wore an oyster-white linen dress, blue hat and accessories and an orchid corsage. The bride's home was the scene of a reception for sixty guests attending the wedding from DeKalb, McHenry, Joliet, Woodstock, Elkhorn, Wis., Pasadena. Calif, and Crystal Lake. Their wedding trip will take the young couple back to Monterey, Calif., where they will make their home at 636 Cypress street. The bride is a graduate of Northern Illinois university and is a speech therapist. The groom attended Northwestern university and North Central college. At present he is studying the Russian language at Presidio, Monterey. LUTHERAN PICNIC The Aid Association for Lutheran, branches of Algonquin, McHenry, Crystal Lake. Woodstock and Island Lake, will join in a picnic on Sunday, July 19, at Algonquin Park, west of Rt. 31, on Washington street, north of St. John's Lutheran church. Those attending are asked to bring their own picnic basket for noon lunch about 12:30 o clock. There will be games and contests, with prizes to be awarded. ANTHONY WEYLAND CLAIMS BRIDE IN EAST SATURDAY YOUNG COUPLE TO MAKE HOME IN DESPLAINES Miss Linda Schopp and her bridegroom of ten days, Victor Mensching, will make their future home at 550 Seeger road, DesPlaines. They were married in a lovely wedding rite which, took place at Immanual Lutheran church, DesPlaines, on Saturday, June 20, at 4 p.m. Miss Schopp is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Schopp of 607 S. Orchid Path, McHenry. and Mr. Mensching, who resides at 1370 Oakwood, is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. August H. Mensching. Mrs. Sandra Ambrose, sister of the bride, acted as matron of honor and bridesmaids were Connie Koch, Kathy Crum and Elizabeth Coker. Tammie Boettcher was the flower girl. William Lingenfeiter served as best man, Robert Schopp, Nicky Kelly and Gary Giarrusso were groomsmen and Dale Ambrose was the ring bearer. Miss Schopp is a 1962 graduate of McHenry high school and also graduated from the Patricia V ance school of modelling. She has been a typist at the First National Bank in Chicago. The groom is a custodian for DesPlaines School District 62. « The Immaculate Conception church in Pall River, Mass., was the scene last Saturday, June 27, of a, nuptial Mass which united in marriage Miss Judith Botelko, daughter of Mrs. Aldea Botelko of 1153 County street, Fall River, and the late John Botelko, and Mr. Anthony J. Weyland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Weyland of 3603 W. Clove?, McHenry. Rev. Fr. Dowling officiated at the 10 o'clock Mass. The bride, given in marriage by her brother, John Botelko, was radiant in a gown of silk peau de soie. styled with long, tapered' sleeves and a domeshaped) skirt which extended from inverted pleats into a cathedral train. The fitted bodice was made with pearl accented alencon lace appliques on the back and front, with a jewel neckline. A double tiered crown accented with aurora borealis crystals and bridal seed pearls held a silk illusion veil. Miss Botelko carried a colonial bouquet of mixed white flowers centered with an orchid. She was attended by Gerry Aguiar of Fall River, who chose a cotillion length gown of pouctre blue silk organza, styled with elbow length sleeves and a scoop neckline. A band of taffeta trimmed the waistline and extended to back streamers. Her matching crown had a. circular face veil. She carried a colonial bouquet of yellow and blue carnations with baby'sbreath. William Silvia of Fall River served as best man. Dinner at Jean's Steak Farm and a reception at the bride's home followed the servicq. The young couple are now enjoying a trip through the western states, the bride travelling in a white linen sifit with black accessories. They will be. at home after July 18 at 1153 County Street, Fall River, Mass. The bride attended B.M.C. Durfee high school and is employed by Louis Hand, Inc. The groom graduated from McHenry high school and is serving with the Marine Corps. HOSPITALIZED Mrs. Helen Strandquist of Lakeland Park is still confined to Memorial hospital, Woodstock, recovering from injuries sustained , in an auto accident last week. Her husband, "Lawrence, is home but still under a doctor's care as the result of injuries suffered in the same crash. With the weather cooperating and with such a large attendance of members and visitors, it was a beautiful evening and one atthe most enjoyable of many meetings this year. The bride is the former Miss Carol Zapel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Zapel, Wonddr Lake. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dunlap, Woodstock. Other talks by officers in the East were given by Sister Edith Buchert, Brother Frank Moravec, Sister Josephine Swanson, Brother Duahe Overton, and Sister Harriet Dodd, who is also a grand lecturer of the order of the Eastern Star. The many visitors from other chapters were escorted and introduced,- as were the current and past worthy matrons and worthy patrons. Appropriate and charming songs were beautifully sung by Sister Clarissa Mellen to the able accompaniment of Sister Martha Rockenbach at ^Ihe organ. Sister Fanny and Brother Bob Thompson placed a gorgeous flower display of peonies and delphiniums in the East, ahd the decorating committee had the dining room very tastefully decorated with fresh flowers and featured beautiful African Violets loaned by Sister Phyllis Nimtz for the guest table.
