CHARLES RIETESEL Mrs. Charles Rietesel, 88, a long time resident of McHenry, died Tuesday evening, July 28, in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Walter Fen3ke, in Chicago. She had been residing there for the past eight months. Mrs. Rietesel was born in Evansville, Ind., Sept. 11, 1875. The family moved here in 1904. Survivors are three children, Car l of McHenry, Mrs. Walter j Fenske and Mrs. Herbert Fen- \ ske of Chicago; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The body will rest at the George R. Justen & Son funeral home after 3 o'clock Thursday. Rev. Bruce Brenneman will officiate at last rites at 3 p.m. Friday at the chapel. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery. (il'NNAR WALINDER Gunnar A. Walinder of 503 N. Green street, McHenry died early Tuesday, July 28, in McHenry hospital, where he had been a patient for twenty-nine days. He was 78 years of age Mr. Walinder, superintendent for the Klein Filter & Mfg. Co., in Chicago for thirty-five years, retired in 1952 and moved to McHenry. He was born in Stockholm, Sweden, Jan. 20, 1886, and came to Chicago with his parents as a small boy. Among his survivors is his wife, -Rose, to whom he was married fifty-two years on May 11 of this year; also two daughters, Mrs. Vernett Wendorf of Atlanta, Ga., and Mrs. Phyllis Belzer of South Bend, Ind.; f i v e g r a n d d a u g h t e r s ; t h r e e great-granddaughters; two brothers, Bert R. of Chicago and Edward A. of Holland, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Leach and Mrs. Dorothy Isakson of Chicago. The body will rest at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home until Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, when Pastor W. L. Thummel of Nativity Lutheran church, Wonder Lake, will officiate at last rites there. Burial will be in a local cemetery. Wae6©dl FRED DIEDRICH Fred Diedrich, 82, 3718 W. Maple street, died suddenly Tuesday night, July 28, shortly after admittance to McHenry hospital. A retired dairy farmer, he was born Feb. 18 1882, in McHenry CcJbnty, the son of the late Peter and Anna Schmitt Diedrich. Mr. Diedrich is survived by his wife, Barba'ra, nee Steffes to whom he was married for fifty-seven years; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Bertha) Hergott, Spring Grove; and Mrs. Clarence (Bernicel Etten, Ringwood; four sons, Clarence, Elmer and Leo of McHenry and Edward of Twin Lakes, Wis.; thirty-four grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Brown and Mrs. Kate Brown of McHenry and Mrs. Leo (Clara) Regner of Volo; two brothers, Jake and Nick of Volo. The body rests at the George R. Justen and Son funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday evening. 'Funeral Mass will be sung at 10 o'clock Friday morning at St. Mary^s church with burial in the church cemetery. Campbell street, Chicago, who died Tuesday, July 21, of a heart attack in her home. Adams, 71, of that city, who died Wednesday night, July 22, in a Burlington, Wis., hospital. Burial was in the church cemetery. Her death followed an extended illness. Mrs. Adams was born June 12, 1893, in Richmond township, daughter of Stephen and Elizabeth Huff. Her affiliations included St. Joseph church and its Altar and Rosary society. RYAN John J. (Red) Ryan of 7602 W. Arbor road, Wonder Lake, died about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, in Memorial hospital, Woodstock. He had been confined there for two weeks following an illness of about three months. Mr. Ryan, 68, was born July 29, 1895, in Chicago, and had resided here for seven years. He was a retired lineman for the Commonwealth Edison company. Survivors include his wife, Alma (Sally); and one sister, Mrs. Sadie Ryan, of Chicago. The body will rest at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home after 3 o'clock Thursday and the rosary will be recited at 8:30 that evening. A Mass will be sung at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at Christ the King Catholic church, with interment in the church cemetery. We had the reading of the minutes by Mabel Thomas, in which it was stated that formals are to be worn every first meeting of the month. The meetings will begin at 8 o'clock sharp. New members will need to attend four meetings in a row to receive their pins. We received an invitation to St. Charles on Aug. 4 to attend their meeting; also one from Forest Park for Aug. 12 at 8:30 for an open meeting. Ethel Wolf received a pin for attendance at meetings. We would like to congratulate Gloria Flannigan on becoming our new recorder. Hazel Struwe installed Gloria and Mabel Thomas was installing guide. There will be five new members in the W.O.T.M.
