The sun was shining brightly and we'd gone for a ride in the country, my husband Tom, Thelma and I. We came to this field full of daisies and we stopped, and I braided a crown of flowers for Thelma's head. She was wearing a brand new dress and she had a new little parasol too. I thought she looked like just about the happiest and prettiest little girl alive. ^ How thankful I was! For our Thelma had just weathered her first serious illness, and for several weeks there had been days and)nights of incredible ' anxiety and heart-rending prayer. / Now, watching Thelma in her new-found health, I thought of>t»r church. Not only our minister, but members of the congregation, [people whom I scarcely knew, had rallied to our side during Thelma's illn®&^ Just having them -- just knowing that they were adding their prayers to ours, had meant so much. And now, I knew, they were sharing our jubilation. ^ How sorry I feel for people who don't go to church. For they miss one of life's great truths -- the knowledge that if you have the Church, you can never again be alone. ALL FOR THE CHURCH larty and rapport the Church. They THE CHURCH FOR AI-L.V The Church is the greatest factor OJX earth for the building of character and good citizenship. It is a store, house of spiritual values. (2) Far his children's sake. (3) Far the saka of his community and nation. (<S) For the sake of the Church itceiiL which needs his moral and material support.
