Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fowles were weekend guests of relatives in Beloit, Wis., and on Monday attended the Elkhorn Fair. * Mr. and Mrs, ^Stephen N. Schmitt, who' have been spending the summer in McHenry, left Monday by train for a three weeks trip to California where they will visit relatives. They will return to McHenry before leaving for their winter home in St. Petersburg, Fla. Mr. and Mrs. James Mahoney of Chicago spent the Labor Day weekend in the Mrs. Eleanor Foley home. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Muska returned, last week from Kinsport,' Tenn., where Mr. Muska, who was stricken ill while they were returning from Florida, had been confined to the hospital for four months. Mueller, 85, died Thursday morning, §ept. 3, at his home at 4500 W. Parkway avenue, McHenry. He was a retired board marker for a stock brokerage firm in Chicago- An inquiry resulted in a verdict of death due to a heart attack. He was born in Chicago Nov. 20, 1878, and had resided in this community for the past two years. Among survivors is his wife, Marie; and a son, William, of Lakeland Park. The body rested at the Konitzer funeral home at 1723 Larrabee street .Chicago, having been transferred from the Peter M. Justen & Son chapel. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery, River Grove. LEONARD JONES Leonard Jones, 73, a resident of 1214 Driftwood drive, Holiday HiUs, died unexpectedly Friday, Sept. 4, while in the office of Dr. Frank Sek. Mr. Jones was born Sept. 3, 1891, in LaCrosse, Wis., and had resided in this community for the past two years. Among his survivors are his wife and two daughters. The body was transferred ^from the George R. Justen & Son funeral home to the Betzer chapel in Delavan for final arrangements. ELIZABETH HOCKER Last rites wore conducted in St. Mary's Catholic church, Riverside, last Friday for Mrs. Elizabeth J. Hocker, 51, of 385 Herick road, Riverside, a summer resident of Pistakee Bay. Death followed a short illness. She is survived by her husband, Marion; her mother, Mrs. Jane Toohill, of Bloomington; one sister and one brother.
